TheGamerCollective:

Ok so I finally got NHL 96 and Speed Racer yesterday so I am going to scan them in. Also I found another SNES game in my collection without a vertical retail cover, Scooby Doo Mystery, so I will be uploading scans of that as well. :D

Its funny when you think about it today, a game with Spider-Man and X-Men...that has to be awesome right? How could it not? Oh wait, it was made by Ljn.

I never understand how a company that made so many terrible games, managed to stick around for soooo long. Thank god Capcom released X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse and War of the Gems. Otherwise we wouldnt have been left with much in terms of good Marvel games for the SNES. You think Marvel would have had better standards for their games. They shoulda slammed the door shut on their faces after they released The Uncanny X-Men for NES. They even made 2 Wolverine games, both of which are VERY far from how good a Wolverine game should be. Altho, they manged to do a decent job on Maximum Carnage and Separation Anxiety.

Cool cover btw. If only the game was even half as cool as the artwork...

The "Only For" logo didn't exist when the SNES was first released. From what I can tell, they introduced it around when Donkey Kong Country was released in 1994, but they never redid the packaging for exclusives produced before the "Only For" logo was introduced (unless they became Player's Choice games, which wasn't a thing until 1996), and many exclusives that were published after the logo was introduced also never got it on their box (like Chrono Trigger, which was a 1995 release)

Short version: Nintendo was inconsistent with the thing prior to the N64.

TheGamerCollective:

Finally got a chance to scan these in.

I need vertical retails of all 3 please.  ;D

Also, has anyone been able to work on any of the others in the list?

NHL 96

Scooby Doo Mystery

Speed Racer

Dravenae:

Try it yourself man, it's actually kind of liberating to be able to do it yourself. Just download the templates, an image editor, and work off the covers that are on the site. Between you and some of the pro guys, you'll fly through them in no time.  :)

By the way, this isn't an "anti-bump" post. It's a "You would be surprised by how easy doing this shit is" post.
