I would defiantly be interested if you could make a port for my SNES controller. Do you think you could make it look like a mini SNES with the cart being inserted on the top? I would pay $75-$100 for that.

i wouldnt know where to begin on programming a control chip for a snes controller, i could do a pad-hack of a snes controller but it wouldnt use a snes port, prolly have to be a db-15.

for the case, i could use a mini snes shell, and rewire the cart connector so it was a top loader, put the db-15 on the front and the power jack/av cord at the back, the cost would be affected though...

I think this will be the project I tackle either this month or next, I keep looking at it and thinking "thats cool 'n' all, but it could look so much better!"

OK im home now so i can show off!

this is my guitar i put together for GH3 on Xbox 360;

the outside consists of a Wii 'rock thunder' flying v shaped guitar, this was gutted and the insides of a wired Xbox GH2 guitar were put in.
why?, because i hate wireless controllers (sorry wiggy), the batteries never seem to last very long! so i couldnt use the original GH3 guitar, and i hated the look of the wired GH2 one, but i love the symetry of  flying v's, so that was the solution!
went through 3 guitars before i finally got it to work!

after playing some mame on the old xbox, i decided i NEEDED to update the stick;

got 2 of these one for Xbox the other for Gamecube

i wonder if theres a PS2 version? be nice to have the set...

anyway they're near identical on the inside so you can get a 'before and after' shot

close up of the Gamecube stick;

this is what lurks beneath the plastic;

ugh! look at that shit, its so crappy i cant even annotate it proplerly!
now this is much better;

anyway after that bit of surgery it feels like a proper arcade stick!

Darn nice work, always nice to see another Scot Pilgrim fan.

thanks, that guitar was sooo frustrating!, every time i tried it something else seemed to have broken, when i finally finished it i just had to celebrate, what better way than a Scott Pilgrim tribute!

i love that book, also have 1 and 6 signed!

oh, FYI;
signing!

i cant be there, its on a sunday, but the last one was really cool, get there early, the line will be loooong!

Awesome, I like it!

thanks!, ive had the sticks for a couple of years now, cant believe i didnt think about updating them 'til now!

ok mentioned this in the "violet vixen" thread and i will put up some W.I.P photos tonight, just thought id give you a heads up on what im working on...

i decided a few months ago that i should really start a NES/Famicom collection, but my dilema was i really didnt want 2 machines, did it for the psone and n64 just cos those are near impossible to mod for dual region, anyway found out that a NES could be modded really easily to play Famicom carts, so i picked up a NTSC NES and a famicom cart slot and a couple of games for each.

i really am not a fan of the NES (toaster) cart connector, so i also bought a game genie, this has now been soldered onto the connector at the back of the NES, and works like a charm!

i have also soldered the first half of the Famicom connector up.
