Thanks!, although, all of the games i want are STUPID prices, wonder sometimes what ive got myself into on that one...!

fitting all of the bits in so far has been a bit of a pain, still plenty of room left though...

...one day i might be brave enough to post some internal shots...one day...

as to the PSP project, i'm still waiting for a flash of inspiration, re: casing

whilst looking into the PGM i stumbled across several "console-ized" ones, IMHO they were functional but ugly, so when i start to tackle mine i hope to be able to do better...looking at some of the gorgeous Neo-Geo's has inspired me!

Nice! That is awesome, the Saturn pad will lend itself well to the CPS2 fighters  :)

thanks!, i thought it turned out really well, considering its taken me 3-and-a-half days to get the soldering finished!

im not really a pad player,  if it can be played with a stick, i will. gonna get me a couple of saturn sticks eventually...
in fact, up until a few days ago i had a SF stick perminantly hooked up to my saturn (something broke on the board :'( waiting to be fixed )

id say go for it!
the only downside is that prices for games are very high, but you could always get phoenixed ones...

for example an original, un-phoenixed progear costs around 200-300, i lucked out and got a phoenixed board for 90, you also have to be aware of the risks from the batteries dying, but you can get them phoenixed anyway...

next project is underway!

so ive mentioned this briefly over here, http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=14824.0 (reply #7)

i love my PGM, the games are great, so im going to console-ize my board!, ive seen pictures of the others online and i have to say, that whilst functional, they seem illogical and ugly!, i mean look at this one;
(copyright neotropolis)

controller ports on one side (these should be on the front!), power and video on the other (these should be at the back!), and its not even in a proper case!
so im going to do a proper consolization, with connectors and switches in the right places and in a little case!

with that said lets get this party started!

this is the board i'll be working with;

im going to solder some wires from my spare cart connector to the back of the other one so i can have a top-loader!

i've cut off part of the case as a cart guide;

this just shows a cart in place to get an idea of what it'll look like;

again i'll be using some of the excellent FGWidget convertors along with playstation controllers...

I am interested to see how that turns out. It would be interesting to see it up and running live in action.

it shouldn't be too hard, the hardest part will be the case, don't think i'm gonna get anything off-the-shelf, i think i'll make a wooden one...
