i've seen that video before, and i really admire his set-up, hopefully one day my systems will look that good!

if the violet vixen project actually gets finished i'll have a more streamlined set-up!

ok, done a 32x/megadrive 2,  'neptune' mod

re-housed in a clear case, added 3 switches so i can play PAL and NTSC games, added a modified pen to act as the on/off plunger (will probably change this in the future, works but looks odd)

couple of vids of it in action;

pal virtua racing

ntsc doom

and just for fun, what comes up if i try to play ntsc in pal mode?

enjoy!

CRAP!
Xbox PC is currently a no go, bought the PC but its massive, would take a ton of work to get it to fit, will have to get a different board!

however, i FINALLY got around to finishing the Violet Vixen Project!

its not currently set up, im moving the man cave around so everything is a mess, but it does work!

I have been following this particular project a long time ago, i always wanted to make something like this that know which componet is playing and send the signal without having to switch (i don't have that electronic skill  :P) and having more than 4 componets atach.

i think i remember reading that it would work by it self, so you don't have to be switching to make it work, it's still that way?

it almost works that way, the first 7 inputs have switches on them, i never did get the diodes working correctly, so i added some safety switches to protect the most precious consoles.

otherwise its perfect!

The Switchers protect from what?

i thought that the switcher was to change one console to another  :P

all of the other inputs are connected to the output, so i would just turn on whichever console i wanted to play and it would be displayed

however a small voltage travels down the yellow video line, because they are all connected there is a small possibility that this voltage could travel up to another console, this may not cause any damage at all but id rather not take the risk, so i have a switch connected to the video line of the first 7 inputs, with the switch OFF nothing gets out or in, and with it ON that particular console would display.

i have some rare/expensive consoles that id rather not risk anything happening to, so they are connected first, everything else is common and easily replaceable, so i wouldnt cry too much if they got fried!

ok, didn't knew that.

I once saw an A/V switcher that you could connect 18 consoles, dvd, etc. it was for sale but i search for it again and didn't find it, when i make a search for that always come up with the 3 or 4 input

Do you think that could be made? each independently, Now i prefer them to be that way because of the voltage  :P

18 inputs to 1 output, with 18 switches?
It could be done, adding the switches to the video lines wasn't hard, you'd just need a big enough box to fit them all into

Well, the one i sow look like a DVD or a Blue ray player box but it clearly said a/v switcher. It wold be much better if it works automatically if it wasn't for the voltage problem.

I'll see if i find some one that could make that a/v box here in the Dominican Republic, if some one makes it i will post the picture ;D

cool!
did You ever get anywhere with that?

woot! new, new project time!
for the past couple of months I've been working on a PSP project, I'm going to add an external controller to a PSP 3000. This, coupled with a HD video converter and a couple of video cables will allow Me to play PSP games on My HDTV!

this is the PSP I'll be using;

and this is the converter...

both work perfectly!

I've done most of the work on the controller already, unfortuneatly, I've run out of soldering flux!
(I'll post pics of the controller and the connector tomorrow, maybe even a vid of the PSP in action...? )
