Yes, with a supergun, you can play JAMMA GAMES. You will need the SUPERGUN + CPS2 hardware (which is Jamma) + CPS2 cartridge + NEO GEO controller. The bad thing about CPS2 games is that they have a battery. When the battery dies, the game is dead... dead... dead!!!! So you need special modded CPS2 games. With a SUPERGUN, you aren't limited to CPS2 games. You can play anything that is JAMMA compatible.

Yeah, CPS2 boards do suicide if the backup battery isnt replaced before it dies. Good thing is they can be repaired and it doesnt require shipping out the entire board. Just the eproms, which are easily removed from the sockets. Its a permanent fix so the board runs without the backup battery.

as the others have said, a supergun will run cps2 fine, its what im currently doing.
its not too hard to make your own either, only minimal soldering skills are required, and dont use neo geo sticks, they may be good but they only have 4 buttons, cps2 fighters NEED 6 buttons, and thats what your getting it for right??
