personally I prefer these smaller poly cases.

got that thread bookmarked already as plan b. i'd love to have them on the same shelf as my ps2 games, but with those polys there's not nearly as much design work required.

made these to see for myself (dvd & poly dimensions). apart from having to reconstruct everything one was a lot easier to do than the other.

but using that sweetass polycase for PAL games you'd need a standard, so the front border would have to go entirely.

That PAL version DVD of Final Fantasy 7 looks amazing.  This is the template I want my NTSC games in!
A few I request (once I can get ahold of this template):
Spyro, Megaman 8, Crash Bandicoot Series, Tomb Raider Series, Skullmonkeys

Anyone got a link to this template?

This is Chubby; He hates Game Case Sellers who steal our artwork to profit their lazy kingdoms.

But he sure loves his Shaq Fu!

i made it as a standalone temp. cool that you like it, most people like to make fun of us europeans with our generic playstation spines =) it only has the regular and platinum PAL designs. those rectangles on the front, spine and back with PAL in them all have the option to be switched over to NTSC|U/C or NTSC|J. figured someone would like to. i'll post the psd when it's all done.

My temp for PS1 looks like the PS2 retail but missing the 2. Keeps everything looking nice to me.

that's great if you want uniformity, but i'm more about preserving the old aesthetics - typos and corny descriptions and everything, it's gotta look it's era =) when i get my hands on the onion-cases i don't think i'll use UGC standard spines either.

granted; for the DVD up there tho, the bottom border on the back looks a lot like the back of any PAL PS2 game. moving the legal-border to the bottom means everything else can keep it's original layout.

I was able to order mine off Amazon in both single-disc

That link is to ones without the artwork overlay.
My bad, I meant to link to these. I forgot I had gotten the double-disc ones instead of the single-disc ones.

I use those cases for my computer games that didnt have a jewel case?  I honestly don't like dvd cases. they are way to big just for a cd.

I am glad PS3 and Bluray got away from them.

How do you feel about like PS2, or Gamecube cases? Because they have the slot for the memory card so its kinda not wasted space...

Im a whore for memory cards, So iv been thinking about switching my ps1 to ps2 cases just so I will have a place to store all of them. I try to use only 1 memory card per game.

Take this from someone who was in  your exact shoes, when I first started with PS1 and dreamcast I literally took everything I had out of jewel cases and put them in DVD cases and then went to purchase disc only because it was MUCH cheaper. I then later changed my mind and wanted jewel and it was a pain the the azz to switch over

Either is fine but pick one now and stick to it 100%

I do like the card slots in the cases, and that the manuals are more accessible. But I had alot of memory cards that did not fit.

Having one memory card for each game seems a bit extreme. Considering most game only use one block.  Now in the case of Tecmo's Deception I understand. I remember renting it back in the day and having to go out and buy a new memory card, because mine didn't have enough space.

However as far as collecting goes, I like to keep the factory default cases, and art.
