Going through the vertical cases in the SNES topic I found a ton of typos that could be fixed. Anyone want to take a crack at a few of them?

The worst is Mega Man X: when you read it it doesn't even make sense. The part that says "when the robot" needs to be replaced with "where the robot rebellions are a thing of the past. But when Dr. Cain tries"

http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=7637

Second worst is Super Mario World: the words "and castles" need to be removed and the word "tht" needs to be changed to "than" in the phrase "worlds tht ever before.

http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=7517

Third is Donkey Kong Country 2: Should say ("kong" family and friends) not ("king" family and friends)

http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=7503

Forth is Super Off Road - The Baja: the word "take" is missing between "can" and "on" in the first sentence.

http://www.mediafire.com/?pcb9k4obrxnjiv8

The rest don't cause the backs of the boxes to not make sense but they are still obviously wrong to anyone who reads them.

5th Lufia II: The words "legend" and "pits" needs to be separated

http://www.mediafire.com/?czec7qvkm71s5my

6th Mega Man and Bass: "place" should be "placed"

http://www.mediafire.com/view/?v1akatmfwa52j41

7th Link to the Past: The "-" is missing between "river" and "you"

http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=7973

8th Mega Man X2: Should say ("enhanced" realism) not ("enhance" realism)

http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=8495

9th Rock n Roll Racing- There should be a space between "supermouth" and Huffman and no comma after Huffman

http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=9850

10th Mario RPG: should say "Mayhem" not "Meyhem"; and should say "him" not "hiom"

http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=7515

Finally 11th Chrono trigger: Should say (repair "the" world's) not (repair "te" worlds)

http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=7501

So basically you just want someone to retype these? Since you are selling these, I think you should put in at least some effort.  ::)

Truth be told, I would do these myself but I haven't gotten a good hold on gimp editing yet. I've been doing 3DS cases by anchoring and moving pieces on templates, both other than that I haven't figured out much yet. Speaking of which, I really should psot what I'vve done in the 3DS cases for gameboy games topic soon. Don't know how good they are to even post though.

lol, so your selling cases, getting everything for free and typos are your request, hrm just hrm

Maybe its just me, but I could care less if there was klingon on the back of the case so long as its cases and looks appropriate on the shelf.

OK, motivation or not, these covers are flawed.  Awesome, but flawed.  Personally, I don't mind many of the typos - Mega Man X is a little tough to swallow, though, as was Goldeneye before it was redone.
I don't care if they are fixed or not, but as an eager enthusiast I would be very thankful if they were.  The cover and spine are the important parts...but if someone notices a flaw, and they have the know how to fix it (I do not) they should at least not mock those of us who DO want our covers as close to perfect as they can be.

Agreed, the "mocking" was simple due to that it was stated they were selling the covers so to me it falls under the dont bite the hand that feeds statement. Thats all lol

The Mega Man and Bass cover is mine. If my copy of Photoshop isn't acting up on me, I'll try to get it done tomorrow.

And for future reference, we have a thread for errors that need correcting. Please post these errors there next time.

Yeah, I don't agree with the selling part, but the reason I chimed in was I mentioned some of these a few months back and got a similar response from some people.

Typos? what typos? ;)

Anyway a good way to get the back fixes started would be to type the texts for us.

If you do the typing (just post the back texts here as normal post) I can replace them to the covers.

(shrugs)

Either way these needed to be pointed out. If it helps, I could probably point out around 50 more that I've found typos on, but these seemed to be the ones I had the most issue with.

Is there a guide to using the templates in gimp so I could fix these myself? If it's easy I can edit them myself, and then just post what I changed in the topic. I'm assuming most of you use photoshop though, so I'm not sure if a guide would help.

As long as you don't mind, then sure, I can type them out for you.

Could you link me to the topic? I've been going through the cases one by one, so I've got a whole notepad file full of typos & other errors I could just copy and paste into that topic for you if that helps.

My typos comment reffered to the 2 redded words in the quote (meaning that it's hard to notice you own typos, hence I always ask someone to read what I've written to weed out typos).

Sure I can fix them, I'm just too lazy to type. ;D
Check Gamefaqs, they might have the backs typed already.

Errors in the Mega Man and Bass files have been fixed and are being uploaded to box.net as I type this out.

Oh, and I did provide a link. The words "a thread for errors that need correcting" served as the link that Arseen has also provided

Haven't had time. Hopefully in the next few days I can type up a few.
