So Sony announced the new PS4 at some Sony convention. Some quick info found be found HERE or below: DualShock 4 has touch pad, Headphone Jack, and light for PS Move. Used BluRays. Will support used games. Suspend/ Sleep mode. Stream game play, post to Facebook, let other players play your game through streaming. Remote play with Vita. No data transfer of backwards compatibility from the PS3, until further notice. Thoughts? I am interested, but I'm probably not going to buy one at launch, I still need a WiiU, and a PS3. It seems to me that Sony is going after Nintendo more than Microsoft, They released a video on IGN showing off all the IPs they got, trying to show up Nintendo's. Also thoughs on the Xbox? I hear it will force you to use Kenect 2.0, each one will come with one. When will Microsoft learn no one likes the Kenect? Maybe it will force developers to make good games for the thing. And, I swear if Microsoft calls the next Xbox the "Xbox 720" . . . |

Looked OK, but nothing to be said yet until final design and facts are revealed and someone actually has played it. Dualshock 4 seems to have the same flaw that was really only flaw of Dualshock 3: the L2/R2 desing. Knack looked nice, as did Bungie's Halo Destiny |

I doubt I'll pick one up, to be honest, regardless of the price. I have a Wii U and barely have enough time to play all the games I have for that as it is, not including the ones coming out that I will be picking up (I've heard Monster Hunter is quite an addictive timesink and it comes out next month), so I really wouldn't have time for more than one console, and since I'm a born-and-raised Nintendo junkie I went with Wii. Besides, it seems a lot of the muscle-flexing is about the PS4's social capability and hardware specs, and I already have something that can do social media and play FPS games called a "PC" (which could definitely use an upgrade, but I digress ;D ). I'll miss out on Gran Turismo and Final Fantasy, but them's the brakes as they say. Still curious how much this thing will cost at launch, though. Given the specs they're boasting, I can't see it being that cheap unless they're planning on selling it at a loss. |

The system itself doesn't seem too impressive. I'm not a fan of all the social networking things going on. The ability to stream to a Vita to play or to a phone for maps seems like they're trying to replicate Nintendo's two screens thing. In the end it is the games that sell me and I wasn't interested in a single one they showed off. I have no interest in getting one. |
