i just went into a flea market and i saw a guy fixing a game. i asked him how much would he charge and he said 5 dllrs for mario party. i didnt ask him for the DKC game since i alredy own another copy, but if it can be fixed, then i guess i could sell it later. i also have batmanrevenge of the joker on NES not working, but there seems to be no problem on it, so i'll just blindly give it to him to fix it. can they be fixed given the state of those pins? i lent these gams and got them back on this state. (who could possibly do this on 1 week!)

You might want to consider this method; I use it for all my cartridges.

Even that one with the gash should make enough contact to work.  Try hitting them all with a Magic Eraser.  Give em a good scrub.  It's mildly abrasive, so it should help cut down those gashes a bit and hopefully give you a better contact area.

Don't use mr clean magic eraser - use an actual eraser.

Sure did, and it looked like most of the problem was excessive dirt on the contacts. One of them may have been missing one, but I don't know what effect that would cause.

If my games are failing to work, I open them up and lightly use a pink eraser, then rubbing alcohol on a qtip.

If THAT fails, I lightly scrub a wire brush and rubbing alcohol.  I've only had one game fail on me, and that is Ultimate Frogger Championship for the NES.  The thing is brand new and all sorts of messed up. (got it from a friend who couldn't get a refund from retrozone)

I just got a copy of Total Carnage in the mail today.  Should have taken pics before and after cleaning.  The pins had a TON of green buildup on them.

3 things brought it back to life, used in this order:

• 00 steel wool
• Dremel with buff wheel and metal polish
• Magic Eraser

Works like a champ and looks good too (save for the bits where corrosion ate through the contacts).
