How to safely move with video games?
Cloisonne:
I'm moving next month and I want to know any good ways of protecting my video games/consoles while moving.
How should I protect my original NES/N64 boxes? How should I pack consoles? And games that are in UGCs?
kaysow:
when i had to evacuate my waterdamaged apartment i just used moving boxes and paper bags (in europe they come with handles) and a bit of bubblewrap for those prone-to-cracking psx games. as long as nes/snes/n64 boxes are empty they shouldn't weigh down on each other too much. i organized that move with my dad and bro tho, i wouldn't trust a mover with that stuff i i were you.
wiggy:
Pack consoles in original packaging if possible. Boxes in crush-proof bins (like the big rubbermaid stuff), loose consoles stacked on top of each other with a layer or two of cardboard and bubble wrap, like a cake made out of consoles :P Carts in UGCs, duh ;)
madrocsz:
Last time I moved my shelves I got some crate wrapping plastic, wrapped the shit out of the entire shelf and put it into truck lol
I have also done so with just tons of boxes, make sure you know where stuff is and the safest way to move it

I suggest buying plastic box protectors for your game boxes, like tie ones at videogameboxprotectrs.
