Uncommon Game Showcase Video Series

Hey guys,

Over the last little bit I've started a new web series I'm calling Uncommon Game Showcase. As the name implies, I'm going through my collection highlighting some uncommon gems that hardcore gamers may have missed. As these aren't really full reviews, I plan to release them on a fairly consistent basis. These will be mostly classic gaming related, but really any console or handheld is fair game for this series.

Not bad, I watched the Alex Kid one, I think some editing instead of doing it in 1 take and a game recorder would help improve the show.
Also what is the sound mod for the SMS that you were talking about.

I can't quite comprehend how Doom for the SNES is uncommon. Is it because of the FX2 chip?

I admit, SNES Doom isn't that uncommon - I just wanted to cover it.

next one will be far more uncommon.

It's all good. A game doesn't have to be uncommon to be interesting. Case in point, the little bit about how SNES Doom can't display the backs of the character sprites.

I never played Moonwalker on the Master System before, but I do have and grew up with the Genesis version. After watching the video, Im trying to figure out how the Master System would be the "preferred" version? It seems heavily watered down, the music suffers, no magic dust in Michael's attacks, no awesome group dances etc...

The game plays better - it's attention to stage design is more straightforward, enemies don't randomly respawn like they do in the MegaDrive build, and you are instantly taken to boss fights. Nothing agaist the MegaDrive one, but it gets all the attention. The Master System version doesn't look or sound as good, but it sure plays better.
