So I came across this video of James Rolfe (Angry Video Game Nerd) and Mike Matei playing a bootleg (slightly hacked) SMB2j NES cart: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYsz3MdzR0c

I found the ROM online, and I sent it to the guy at NR and he said he couldn't do it because it's the hack of a Famicom Disk System game, or something to that tune.

Here WAS link to the ROM hack:

Anybody know if it's possible (or how to make it possible) to put this on an NES cart?

NR offers Super Mario Bros 2: The Lost Levels on an NES cart. Its $25 and you have to send him a doner.

I am one that is seeing the light on flash carts and I am starting to prefer them over repros.

The guy at NR does great work and is very polite and professional.

I ordered an FF2 repro off him and finally found a suitable copy of Mario 2 to get an FF3 cart made.

I can see the allure of the flash cart though .. you can play roms on the original hardware.  I may end up getting one in the future just to play my collection without exposing it to the elements.

Wha?!  Aw man, I'm just getting into repros and I LOVE them.  Something sooooo satisfying about owning a (semi) legit copy of a game versus flash carts IMO.

That's the allure for me as well having a real cart.  It's as close as I can get to having what I would have had if the game had actually been released here.

I'm hoarding donor carts and plan to make a bulk purchase of all the ones I want at some point.

Problem is that they are fixed in price while other things I want keep going up so it's hard to justify buying them right now.

I might actually try and learn how to make them myself just for the fun of learning how to do it.

If a repro could be made from all new parts, then I would jump back onto the repro bandwagon.

That repro board is only good for 4 mappers, iNES 0, 2, 3, 7....basically if the game did NOT use a MMC, it can be made with that board.

Too bad he never made a repro board using stuff from his NES Powerpack.

Let's see if bunny boy makes some new stuff like advanced boards or something after the HDMI NES gets finished.

I know SMB2j is available as a repro, but the reason I wanted that certain ROM hack was because of "Rambo Game", the weird title screen, and the fact that the AVGN had it :3

Can anybody who makes repros (or know of any good repro sites) PM me? :)
