Howdy,

Im new to the forums here after searching every nook and corner of the internet for some rear art inserts for some sega cd games.  I thought certainly i would not be the first person to look for these, but maybe i am.  Or more likely the case is im not good at searching the forums here!

I am looking for rear art inserts that will fit perfectly in original sega CD game cases.  Rear art inserts for games that were originally released in those flimsy cardboard boxes.  Rear art inserts that will blend in with the rest of the sega CD library that came in the long jeweled cases.  (blue with white letters on the spines)  The games i am interested in rear art inserts for are:

1) final fight CD
2) chuck rock
3) batman returns
4) prince of persia

The custom artwork in sega CD forms for DVD and slim cases look really exceptional.... but they dont have the extra blue spine up the side and i dont have the tech savy to do anything with photoshop (or any program for that matter) to make them the correct size with two blue spines on each side to fit in these old sega cd cases.

Thanks so much for your help guys, if anyone has any ideas or suggestions i anxiously await your reply!

holymoly that is beautiful!  thank you so much for sharing!  that is exactly the style i am in search of for these games!!!!

I do not have a high quality printer so i will like be taking this file to staples or an office max or what have you.

What kind of material do you recommend printing out these rear art inserts on to best duplicate the original cardboard-like rear inserts??

also, may i ask how you made this file?  I get the feeling i wont find artists for each game on my list so i might have to attempt some of these myself.

@Mel,
I've been meaning to do Batman for myself. Let me do that one and you can do the other two.

@macebus
I did Final Fight CD for myself... So I put a little extra love into it. I couldn't be happier with the final result. If you're taking it to Staples for somewhere, I'd just take a real SEGA CD insert and tell them you want it on the same type of card stock. I made it using Photoshop. I scan the back and front from a SEGA CD game and used it to make a template. Oddly, I spent hours making a template and this is the only game I've ever used for it.

How'd the blues come out compared to a retail print? I havn't uploaded my Saturn one yet as the tone of the stripes is a little cool when compared to the retail ones. Need to find a closer hue.

ohman that final fight looks gorgeous!  I didnt even consider that i would be able to find a front cover that matches the rest of the sega cd library too.  Figured i would just use the manual as the front cover even if it was mismatched, but now ill definitely be using the front sheet as well!

thank you very much gang, you guys are wizards!

and that is an excellent idea of just taking a real rear-insert in with me and see what they think will turn out best.  theres probably such a plethora of different board qualities and glossy vs non glossy styles that I would never guess correctly on my own what is closest to the real thing.

---you guys should definitely start your own art section under the Sega CD tab.  DVD, slimcase, and now Original-style!

Well, the blue strips are taken from a retail print; Who shot Johnny Rock to be exact. However, colors differ between different games. I'm looking at my own SEGA CD collection and I don't believe a single game shares the exact shade of blue and all of them are real except the FF CD cover. Also, the calibration between your printer and PC and off set color.
