It actually would be a good idea to get retail front and back inserts up on the site. Were pretty much done with SCD DVD covers for the most part by now, so I guess the next thing to do would be to start knocking out the retail inserts. I imagine they wouldnt get used quite as often as the DVD covers since theres no way to easily obtain replacement cases, but at least well have them for those that doo, and if we do get a full set of retail inserst, that would pretty much finish off the SCD section.

I know we dont normally do inserts very but it would be cool if we started doing this for other consoles like Saturn, DC, and PS1 in the future. Im thinking of converting all my custom DVD covers back to their jewel cases, with the exception of SCD and Saturn games.

Im still hoping one day will start reproducing those SCD and Saturn cases. Id imagine thered be a pretty good damand for those amongst gamers.

For me, I like my games to look authentic. So, when it comes to Playstation One, SEGA CD and SEGA Saturn, I like them to be in the proper jewel cases. For SEGA CD and SEGA Saturn games, I buy crappy Sports games to take their cases. This is an area where the cover project can't help me since it only offers DVD or Polycase inserts. However, it would be nice if the cover project offered authentic inserts for the mentioned systems (with a special shout out to Turbografx games which came in CD style jewel cases). So BadChad, I'd be happy to contribute and support the idea.

I would love if this happened.  Even though the cases break so easy and are hard too find in great condition, I just love the look of them sitting on the shelf.

TSOLFan could probably really help us there. As far as I know he has complete sets of Sega CD, Saturn and DC games. As much as I love to convert my SCD and Saturn games right now, I just need too many cases to start buying sports games for. But I actually only have about 5 DC games that actually have their original cases so Id be all for starting on retail DC inserts. A thrift store down the street is selling CDS for 10 cents each today so Im gonna go spend $5 and get myself a stack of jewel cases.

I even thought of putting all my TG-16 games in Jewel cases with a template similar to the original cases, just with the original box layout on the back. Right now I just cut out the disc tray of a DVD case and put the jewel cases in it with a cover. Not sure I want to store my original TG-16 cases tho.

I haven't printed out Batman Returns yet. I considered making chuck rock and prince of persia today. However, Mel somewhat indicated that she would make them and I didn't want to step on her feet.

That's just a quick update saying that I scanned in replacements for the 2 damaged inserts I had already scanned, and scanned in 1 replacement for one that was stuck in the case that I couldn't remove.

So, Sega Saturn inserts have all been scanned in for a full complete US set, excluding True Pinball, which is the last one I have stuck in a case pending replacement.

Dreamcast rear inserts are on my eventual "to do" list, scanning both front and back (since they were all two sided).  Probably April before my work schedule cooperates with having some extra time in the mornings to scan.

Sega CD once I get over the fact that there's no way to do a full consistent set (with cardboard boxes, digipacks (for pack in games like Sol Feace), clamshell cardboard for the late Digital Picture releases, the oversized jewel cases and the gigantic Lethal Enforcers that I'll just have to try and take a really nice picture of since it's impossible for me to scan).

Sounds good. Im in no rush to get started so I can hold out untill then. Guess well need a good solid DC Jewel Case template to use for these.

Here's the back insert for Chuck Rock. I'll do a cover at a later period. The back insert was the most important thing for you, right?
