I cannot seem to find a strategy guide for the PS1 / Saturn version of Rayman.  Does anyone know if one was even made?  Or maybe know a specific issue of a gaming magazine from the 1990s that covered the complete walk-through?  This game is such a bitch!  But it is too beautiful and majestic for me to give up on.  I know I could watch it being played on youtube, but I'm a reader.

I don't recall there being one. Strategy guides weren't nearly as popular as they were by the late 90's or even today (which seems odd considering that the Internet makes them virtually worthless).

I'd just find a walk through on GameFaqs.

but there's strat guides for 2 and 3, and guides for older games, so why not one for rayman?

what magazines were popular for the systems back then?, when was the game released? normally mags had guides 1 or 2 months after the game came out

all this should help in finding a print guide for this game, otherwise print out from gamefaqs?

EDIT: Damn speed typing typos!...

That's what I want!  Like a EGM issue or something that covered it.  It was released in 1995.

see, now you have somewhere to start!, is there a EGM cover museum or similar?, what was the playstation/saturn mag called, im sure there were dedicated ones, if you can find a cover you could start trawling ebay/amazon for them, might take a while but someone somewhere has it!
try finding a rayman fansite, they are bound to have links to or copies of reviews maybe even info on any strat guides published, either dedicated or part of a mag, failing that you could join the forum and ask...

sure i can help in the search, im not joining a rayman forum tho, i'll leave that up to you!

ok, another question: is the n64 rayman the same game as the other versions, or did n64 only get rayman 2?

if its 1 and the same as the others, maybe nintendo power did a guide?

well i give up! sorry i just dont have the patience!
it seems every other game has a printed guide, F*ing 'Double Dragon' has one!, EXCEPT rayman 1!

the best i could come up with whilst thinking about this at work was to make your own
print one out from gamefaqs and follow it, taking screenshots as you go, there are people who make reproduction game manuals, so you might be able to persuade them to make you a guide...

...or just wait for the HD remake and get the guide for that...!

I figured this wouldn't work, I'll never beat the game.  Thanks to everyone who helped to look though.  I appreciate it.
