I didnt jump on the DS XL bandwagon but am seriously tempted to get a 3DS XL, the screen is just that much of a size difference and honestly more comfortable to hold. Reg DS makes my hand cramp |

Can you try out any of them? If anything you could go to a best buy, GameStop or anywhere that still has a 3ds xl stand and see how you like the feel of it. And maybe try to see if any of your friends have a regular 3ds and hold and feel that one (although I honestly didn't feel much a difference between a ds lite and a 3ds in terms of size and feel). Other then that I'd probably go the xl. I'd have gotten that one but I couldn't pass up the Zelda 3ds when it was released lol. Also, like someone mentioned, I'm sure there'll be a new 3ds soon that has an integrated 2nd circle pad as opposed to buying the addon piece |

I have a XL and while I haven't really held a regular one, it certainly is a lot easier for me to hold than a lite... Most of the other points have been said already, although I also like how the stylus is at the side in the XL, rather than at the back Oh and also I lucked out and bought it on Boxing Day when is was $50 off at Best Buy :> |
