Recently at my local thrift store i picked up these cartridge only games:

Super Smash Bros. N64 - $3
Ogre Battle SNES - $2
Earthbound - SNES $2
Battletoads/Double Dragon - NES $2
Super Metroid - SNES $1.50
& Pokemon Trading Card Game - GB $5

I think I got pretty lucky with them. Especially Earthbound which is weird cause i didn't realize how much it was selling for. I just remember walking in there, hoping that I find Earthbound and there it was :)

I dont know.  I think we need a pic w/ receipt.

EDIT. nevermind

I don't want to see a receipt.  Will just make me more mad that deals like that simply do not exist here :(

Yeah, I agree that it is stupid that they go for that much. I am just glad I found it at the thrift store when I found it because I would never shell out more than $30 for a used game.

Ever hear about "the secret" where if you think about things they often come true? Well I half believe that because I kept seeing all these posts about "Earthbound" and then I was like man I hope I find EarthBound today, as I was walking in. And there it was waiting for me on the shelf...

That was before I even knew it was popular.

That thing's not going for 200 bucks yet, is it?!

Unfortunately, yes it is. It may even escalate.

Recently picked up a MoGA Bluetooth Gamepad for my Android phone (Galaxy SIII).

I'm not huge into playing games on my phone, save for a handful of Android games and emulators that I play when I don't have access to my consoles and handhelds. I like that it holds the phone in place very well.

It came with Pac-Man and the recent release of Sonic CD, which is cool. I've considered getting Sonic 4 Episodes 1 & 2 for a while, and I think I may now go with Android.  :)

$35 seems to be the low end of the going rate for it these days.

It's a great game so I'd say it's easily worth that.

I can only see it getting more expensive in the future.

Ok so it wasn't this month but recently I picked up

- a PAL SNES with 2 controllers, with unboxed;
- Mario All-Stars
- Donkey Kong Country
- Street Fighter II
- Top Gear
- F-ZERO
- Super Tennis

at a car boot sale, the lot for GBP £ 5.00 - That's what, about $7.75?

True, I just would rather find it in the wild for cheaper.

Everything isn't always a good deal here. I went back to that thrift store a minute ago and they wanted $7 for Separation Anxiety (Spiderman) for Sega Genesis but it has hollywood video stickers all over it and they had it in the collectors case even. I had to pass on that one.

This month was okay for me, I'd say. Steam sales aside (leaning towards PC now), I grabbed a couple physical games.

-Tetris Worlds CIB (PC): 4.99
-Doom 3 CIB (PC): 11.99
-Pokemon Ruby cart-only: free

And if anyone actually is interested in what the Steam things were... spent no more than $28 and got
-Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY
-Bastion
-Fable: Lost Chapters
-FTL
-Half-Life
-SW: KotOR 2

Bastion was one of the best games I played last year hands down, great atmosphere
