I've had really good experience with Canons.  That'll get the job done, for sure!

I use a canon Pixma IP4600, and the results are great.  I cant stress enough though, that its the quality of the paper you use that determines the overall results and longevity.  Shit in....shit out!

1000% agreed about paper. It's like my cover project mantra. Spend the $$$ on paper, not printer (though, do try and stick with OEM inks, even though they are pricey).

I haven't printed in a cover in a long while. My printer crapped out on me.
I'm thinking about getting a Epson all in one, and setting up a continuous ink system.

Any one have any exp. with CIS?

Dam, I got a foot here. I just got back from shoveling. Snow days stopped being fun when you are the one that has to shovel.
Also, my school was still open yesterday, I felt bad for my friends that had to walk home.

I have never understood the snow closing schools.
We got few years ago 2 feet during one night.
Trucks and tractors kept roads open during the snowing and within 30 minutes of snowing stopping all roads were clean.
And that was in middle of nowhere, towns were kept clean even better.

We also lost electricity during that storm and they were out 5+ days, and even that did not close the schools or small businessies.
Bigger stores, restaurants and banks were closed as they really need electricity to operate.

My city is probably not as efficient as where you live. Its mostly the snow preventing people from getting places. The snow here was falling at a fast pace, during the times students went to school and came home. To give a idea of how fast it was falling, I have a fairly short driveway/ walkway, guessing slightly over 20 feet from my home to the road. I started shoveling from my door, took me about 5 to 10 minutes to shovel to the street, by the time I got to the street, the ground in front of my door was already covered in about a inch or 2 of snow.

We also had a bad snow storm 2 years ago around Halloween and trees were falling down left and right, and a lot of power got knocked out. On that night I had a party to go to and I had to change my rout 3-4 times because a tree/ trees were blocking the road. Also someone lost a bummer near my friends house.

I live middle of nowhere, but yes many of our neighbors have tractors which helps a bit, and they clean our yard automaticly if there is more than 2 inces of snow, so no showeling, only sweeping the stairs.
But they don't clean the public roads that is job for the neighboring town.

We also had a bad snow storm 2 years ago around Halloween and trees were falling down left and right, and a lot of power got knocked out. On that night I had a party to go to and I had to change my rout 3-4 times because a tree/ trees were blocking the road.

That's why I always have chainsaw or phone number of person with chainsaw in my car.

Also someone lost a bummer near my friends house.

Lost what?

I use the FantasyBuy one with my Epson Artisan 810. I don't notice a difference between that and the OEM ink. The Epson Premium Presentation Paper Matte is the best paper I have found with this setup.

I am more than happy with the results, but I can't comment on the longevity of the covers printed this way. Maybe wiggy has some input on the subject.
