Just curious. Why have one just for a soft mod? I have one for everything. Now that the Wii U is out you don't have to worry about updates.

Depending on what version you download, you may have trouble playing newer Wii discs. That, and in case the softmodded Wii bricks(Which can happen even if you're careful).
Basically, it's a "Better safe than sorry" kind of situation.

Good question.
I like having the game in hand for many systems. Heck, I even feel bad owning an NES Powerpak. But alas, I digress, the main reason I want to softmod the wii is to play arcade ports, and maybe a system or two's rarer titles.
