However, I don't want to have to mod it. I want to buy something that just works. Fabrication and modding are a last resort for me. --- Quote from: SasoriSoren on January 27, 2013, 08:19:39 PM ---I just have this for the Genesis: http://www.amazon.com/3-5mm-Stereo-Female-Cable-inches/dp/B0018MI5F6/ref=pd_bxgy_e_img_z The headphone port on the Model 1 does output Stereo sound so just routing it that way works well with no modifications needed. --- End quote --- Yep, I know that. I'm a bit OCD though and I don't like to have a y-cable coming out of the front. --- End quote --- Run a mini plug to the backside then. That's how I did my S-vid mod on my Genesis 3 ;) |

I'm going to solder some wires from pin 1 and pin 8 on the audio chip and fab some RCA jacks to the back. I just need to figure out what I'm going to do for some other systems I want to run RGB as well. Maybe I'll just get a SCART switcher and be done with it. |

Sure, but I will need a good switch for component since that's what it's all converting to. Unless I end up having to use a SCART switch that pulls the audio. I would still need one for the Wii, X-Box, and PS2. |
