So, seems I solved the issue, went with this paper

http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/760144/HP-Glossy-Color-Laser-Brochure-Paper/

and these are the results. I hate getting disc only, but when I was able to get games like this loose for 5$... win

You want something 2-sided for the back covers?

thought about 2 sided but honestly I would probably give myself a headache lining up both sides to make a single print as its not like page size.

I did some searching, wondering if a decent stock brochure paper will do the trick, will have the gloss I would be looking for. The matter then becomes making  the tiny .25 inch type folds for the cases.

I have made a bunch for a few PS1 games using reg paper ive used for UCG but the quality difference shows, works well for UGC not for jewel apparently.

Is your printer capable of 2-sided printing?  If so, no need to worry about justifying the pages ;)

Yes its capable, I mean for instance if I want to do back insert and the inlay and print both sides I would have issues matching them up as its not like I am printing full pages

How do you manage to fold the edges for the spine, when they're so small?

Since they were sized to fit I put them on case and kinda pushed paper down and then the edge up to it met end of plastic edge. This sounds crazy but due to random crap on desk I found that 2 virtual boy games (no cap for cart end) fit perfectly inside a jewel case end on end. I threw two down and pushed along the seams lol. Suppose a credit card etc would work well enough .

I found this works better than trying fo pre fold them and it prevents nasty creases as these are not perforated like the originals

VERY lightly scoring with a craft knife (i mean with virtually no downwards pressure), or along the edge of a metal ruler usually does the trick
