| Best paper for cart labels? |

Hey guys, just looking for a recommendation on what kind of paper to use for printing a nice cart label. I have used photo paper in the past but I am looking for a better option. It doesn't have to have a sticker back but that would be a bonus. What do the repo cart guys use? |

I use photo paper that way it looks too glossy, a way to identify the game as a repro cart (I am kind of anal about that thing...whenever I make a repro...I do something that can allow it to be identified as a repro) Or you can use regular sticker paper, and ghetto laminate it with scotch tape like wiggy does. |

Yup yup. The packing tape works well for SNES games and I have a paper that works well for N64 games (in terms of finish). I'll post specifics when I'm back at my computer. The repros I've received use a pretty cheap feeling paper. I'm actually just about to pick up a small photo printer that uses a process called "dye sublimation", which basically laminates the print and will look virtually identical to an original SNES label. I'll gladly offer label printing as a service since it makes little sense for everyone to pick up such a printer for such a purpose. Since Zeanhaven and I are working on offering repros together, it's a totally worthwhile purchase for me, and I'll gladly help you guys out as best I can ;D |

I use photo paper but my printer is pretty shitty so the ink rubs off on the edges so I spray some acrylic sealer on top and let it dry. It does have a glossy look to it but it's only real noticeable in direct light. You can tell it's not original more from my slightly uneven cuts and label placement than the gloss itself. |
