Hey, guys.
I made some alternate Game Case Designs, on paper, for the following Game Carts:
1. Standard Size USA Master System (Cart-Based) games.
2. Standard Size USA Genesis Games.
3. Standard Size Japanese Mega Drive Games.
4. Sonic & Knuckles.
5. Genesis Game Genie.
6. Extra Tall Genesis Game cart 'Virtua Racing'.
7. Sega Genesis 32X Carts.
8. Famicom Standard Height Cart-Based Games.
9. Atari Jaguar Cartridge-Based Games.
They have locking tabs for the carts, and the manual side has holding tabs just like a DVD Case has.
I was wondering how many people would prefer the Game Cases, for those Carts,
to be the same size as original Sega Game Cases.
Note: The spine of these cases will be 3 millimeters (approx 1/8 of an inch) wider than standard Sega Cases.
That's so Sonic & Knuckles can fit in a case with it's manual.
Making all of these Game Cases 3 mm wider saves me about ten grand.
If I go this route, the Sega Game Cases would be the Second Run Game Cases,
and the First Run (UGC-Size) Game Cases would then be limited to:
USA: NES, SNES, SNES Game Genie, n64 w/Mem Card Support, n64 Game Shark.
JP: Super Famicom, n64 w/ Mem Card Support.
Since Kickstarter Campaigns don't stop when the $ goal is reached, they only stop once the duration ends,
I was thinking that if I set the goal at the UGC-Size Cases,
but wind up getting enough to also make molds for the Sega-Size Cases,
It could be doable.
