I live In Canada BC, the shipping cost was almost twice the cost of the UGC themselves, and that was like 6 months ago.

So with the UGC price hike and the shipping going up thats gonna be brutal.

Wow. Seymor might have a monopoly if this keeps up!

Fortunately I've still got at least 45 unused cases in reserve (after the last big UGC draught) that I'm keeping for my future collection additions. But I think I may switch to Seymor's cases for NES if they turn out well, and I think Genesis and 32X are going into Genesis & 32X cases now...

You must be on or near the east coast like me.  FedEx and UPS use zoned rates and those things are coming from Cali.  I always order at least 2 cases at a time from them for that reason :(

Yeah I'm in the midwest so it's probably not a whole lot cheaper than your shipping.   I think they upcharge the shipping anyway.  Even by the size the box is, it shouldn't be near what they charge me.  I tried to get them to ship via UPS on my company's account but they wouldn't.  I think they use that as another markup.  It's like the whole ebay problem.  Here's a great game for $1 but shipping will be $28.

I really should finish up casing my games, before they go up to $1 a case.

I live in  Portland, Oregon so shipping has been quite reasonable for me, even now it won't be too bad.

Cleveland here (technically midwest, though I don't understand how).  It's like 30 shipping for one case to me and I think 40-ish for two.

I still have 70 or so from my last case, don't plan to order anymore no do i expect to use much more.

For me it always averaged right at 60$ between the 42$ price and 18$ shipping. Now, glad I went ahead and bought that last case

I too snagged a box just before x-mas during their backorder just before the price increase.  Paid $71 total to very upstate NY.  $45 + 3 + $23 shipping.  If you continue to go with mediashelving, pay the extra 3 bucks for the extra box to protect your shipping.  Not a single case of mine was either cracked or damaged coming for Cali to NY.  Shipping took 1 week.  I have used about 60 of the cases, so I have plenty for future retro investments.  While I am bummed about the price increase, I am very much looking forward to the Onion cases that are in development for the Saturn and Sega CD games.  The extra tall DVD cases that will hold the manuals sound sweet.

Even then it is still less than $1 per case and considering how much it adds to a collection, worth it to me.

Buying 2 or more at a time helps a LOT.
