I'm fed up with my limited livingspace so I decided that somtime in the spring I'll get bankloan and build myself house.
One thing that also saves money is that there are plenty of builders in my close family.

Under the house I'm gonna build basement and as building that won't be that expensive, I'll probably go big.

Maybe something like this

Each room is 7 by 4 meters, staircase being 3 by 3 meters. Height 2.5 - 3 meters
Little explanation about the gameroom:
Green parts are 40-60cm deep shelves
Purple parts are 15-20cm gameshelves that are also doors.

I might alter the layout bit and add indoor pool.

Wish I could get a house. I still owe waaaay too much in student loans though. Unless someone wants to loan me 30k. I am stuck in my 1 bedroom apartment for some time.

Maybe he wants them to build it around him without doors so that he never has to leave  ;D.

Just need a mail slot for incoming games.

Like I said the purple things in game room are gameshelves that act like doors.

the other three rooms are inaccessible though...

The area I'm thinking of using is absolutelu floodfree area.

True it's only 2 meters above lake but, but if the lake or the bond flood, the flood is still going away from our house.
Global warming is not issue either as we are about 300 meters above sea level.

Only possibilyty of flooding is sea rise of over 300 meters, which we know is impossible.

That's great!

I've been trying to design something for a while now. Is your room just a place to store games, or will it be where you play them too?

Play them too probably, least multi console playing.
For single console gaming we migh head to the Home Cinema to play on video projector.

I would take special care when doing a game room underground. Not because of flooding but because even in a living room cellar game boxes could get that special cellar smell after some time.
2 + 3 = 23

The ground here is pretty dry as is the climate.
I will naturally will moist and cold proof the underground living spaces, and ventilation will be good of course.

Yeah, I'm trying to design a room for all my consoles and games and a way to have them all hooked up with two setups. One with a CRT for old school and one with an LCD for new games. It's proving to be a task. Can't wait to see what you come up with. I'm always looking for ideas.

I'll probably keep only 1 console hooked in at once, and store the rest in dust free enviroment (in a box).

But if you need help hooking several consoles at once I can help.

Just list what consoles you have and what inputs your TVs have, and I'll tell what to use.
