Is inkjet ok?

N64 Gamer:

I have a bunch of UGC that I recently bought and I want to print some covers for them.

I believe my printer is an inkjet (how do I confirm this?), it's the HP Photosmart 5524 printer:

I tried to print two covers with it and it looks alright, I was just wondering if the ink is going to damage my UGC's? I don't want the ink to rub on to the plastic sleeves or damage my UGC.

Sorry, this is my first time trying this. :)

Superchop:

Yes you do have an inkjet printer if the one you linked to is exactly it and I believe that a majority of people here do use inkjets at home to print their own covers.  It really shouldn't damage the UGC's unless you put the cover in before it's completely dry.

If its smaller than a microwave, it's almost certainly an inkjet. Laserjet printers are mondo pricey, so you'd prolly know if it were laser or not.

As states before, don't worry about the ink rubbing off. If you do end up with any sort of smudge on the UGC, don't worry. They're made of a plastic that acts like wax paper. Isopropyl will take almost anything off that happens onto your UGCs.

I wasn't ever happy with my hp printer. It never really printed black, just more like a dark gray. It also never scanned worth a shit.
My GF got me a Kodak and its awesome.

I've always been an opponent of all-in-ones.  They never do anything really well in my experience.
