Has anyone not in the states who doesnt have access tried using vhs cases for there cartridge based games? i remember back in the day video stores would use vhs cases to hire out games in, i know they are bigger than ugcs, but including postage costs i pay $4USD per universal game case, where as i can get vhs cases for $0.33 USD.

dimensions for the ones i can buy are : 120x203x30mm

ive tried using wide dvd cases but once you cut away the lugs and stuff they dont feel as solid, where as a vhs should. i might order bout 20 or so of them in a couple of days to try it out for my SG-1000 collection. If anyone is keen i can post photos and what not.

I started for my super Famicom games, as the size of VHS is pretty similar to the original boxes - but quickly got dored with the idea, and just went for some decent clear multi-dvd cases, primarily because i don't have to change the dimensions from the UGC covers here on the site.

I do however keep my handhelds in VHS cases.

VHS cases won't fit manuals either, if that's a concern for you. I was ready to place an order a few months ago and was so glad I found out from here ahead of time that they wouldn't fit.
I'm looking for vol. 2, 4, and 5 of the Orchestral Game Music Concert CDs. I'll pay well if it's authentic and doesn't skip. :)

  • ...and that's the bottom line
I used VHS cases to case my entire SNES and Jaguar collection. I'd use them for NES games too but unfortunately NES games are too big.
Here are some pictures of the games in cases.

im only really collecting sega atm, so it wont be a problem for me, my supplier has clear vhs, maybe i should try to find black ones.... im thinking bout getting some black foam for inside and cutting out slots for the games to sit inside so they are snug but that depends on price of foam.

i was having second thoughts but kaiser youve renewed my faith in them lol.

How were you able to fit SNES and N64 manuals KaiserWAVE? When I measured the manuals were too wide for VHS cases...
