CommunistGamer:

So, working out a mod and i need to know some information if anyone is willing to help.

1. What controller do you know of that has the most pins for connection.

2. How many pins are on said connection.

scarmullet:

Most use a 9 pin standard, the Atari 5200 and the Famicom use a 15 pin plug....it would be best to stick with a 9 pin connection or develop your own connection and adapt it to what ever controller you need.

CommunistGamer:

Well i was going to have to use custom cables anyway. just need a serial port base.

But yeah thanks for that info.

Dr.Agon:

SNK's AES/home console uses 15 pins as well.

if you just want a connector;

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D-subminiature

you could go the d-sub route, up to 50 pins!

or for the ultimate connector;

you could try a jamma connector, 56 pins!

CommunistGamer:

well, the pbc i'm baseing my project on uses 50 pins, and at least 30 needto be used for non serial port connections
