Removing Tabs for NES Cases: Easiest Way?
I've tried modifying UGCs for NES cases with an exacto knife AND a dremel. Neither work. An exacto knife is much too slow, and a dremel is too noisy, messy, & it melts the case.
How do you guys do it? What would be the easiest way to do a clean job?

Dremel works great for me. It does leave a bit of a mess but you can clean it up with an exacto.

I just go at it with an end cutter. Takes some patience, but gets the job done nicely.

I use convexed toe nail clipper. I took out the center piece of the clippers. And use pliers to squeeze.

ive used a dremel with the cutting blade . just have to take you time and not sit in one place to long, cut a bit let cool cut a bit , so as not to melt the plastic also i have a set of these but they dont cut as close

I just use my Dremel with a 1-inch Wood and Metal cutter. It lays flat against the plastic of the case getting a super close cut without any real effort.

A dremel works fast and easy. It makes a mess though. I built myself a little working station from some big cardboard boxes.

I just found a table on the curb a few months ago that was pretty worn and use that. The dremel doesn't make too much mess though, especially once you are in a rhythm. I can bust out 20 cases in about 10 minutes with it.

I use an Exacto knife to just loosen up the tabs then grab a pair of pliers and pull them right off...I've done about 20 cases so far because I ran out from other games and only ruined maybe one. It does take a little longer than a dermal but it gets the job done

If you wait, Seymor Onion is developing cases for NES games with no modification required.
