Nintendo Cart Screws: What Size?
Moviefan2k4:
Does anyone know what size screws I would need, to replace the old "gamebit" ones from the original carts? I'd also like to know the size for the tiny "shield screws" in the N64 games as well. Thanks!

It'sn the NES 3.8mm and N64 4.5mm?
This site has a list of the type of bits you need for each system: http://www.videogamemuseum.com/2012/03/17/security-bit-battery-compatibility-chart/

I think he is asking what size screws he can use to replace the game bit screws.
Why he wants to do that I don't know.

I'd personally just take samples of each to Home Depot/Lowes and try and find a match that way. There's really no easy way to measure every aspect of a screw. You've got head diameter, length, thread coarseness and pitch, etc. shouldn't be too hard to find matches ;)
As an FYI, Lowes has a way better selection is small screws. Local hardware shops are often great resources too.

Ideally, I'd like to have replacement gamebit screws for when things get messed up, but no place I've found sells them anymore. I've seen some carts with small Phillips screws, but I don't know what size to get.

I'm assuming you meant Home Depot, but they didn't have anything like the gamebits I showed them.
