Ugh, VGA grading, and you got Leisure Suit Larry on the Xbox graded? might as well just send them a turd in a box and call it a game.

I saw an unopened Shaq-fu at Savers today.  Usually their Genesis games are $2.99 or less.  I would have bought it for their regular price just to have it CIB in my collection, but I looked at the sticker and they were asking $24.99 for it.  I have no idea where they got that price from.  I've never seen them mark up games like that just for being unopened, and they have unopened CD's and DVD's for the same price as the opened ones.  So, I bought a CIB NHL 95 for $2.99 instead.

Sorry to say, Leisure Suit Larry on the Xbox and PS2 are candidates for worst games ever made, the ones on PC, 1-6 are superior and solid adventure games to boot.

Everything is relative...people like different stuff.  For instance, most fans seem to LOVE Final Fantasy IX.  I am a die hard fan of the series and I think IX is one of the worst games ever made.  Again, everything is relative.

As long as you don't like XIII we are still on good terms ;)

Final Fantasy IX is my second favorite out of the 8 that I've played. :)

I have played through all the Final Fantasy games, and I will say that VI is my favorite. IX was good fun, and a nice refresher after what a bomb VIII was.

For my last January purchases, I ordered Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters, which will be my final Gameboy purchase.

...and Star Fox SNES, which really will be my last SNES purchase.

My last N64 purchase will be Legend of Zelda; Ocarina of Time, original 1.0 version if possible. While I enjoy Majora's Mask and Wind Waker more, and I'd place them higher on my favorites list, I think Ocarina of Time deserves my respect. Now, while I like Majora's Mask more than OoT in terms of atmosphere and gameplay, I think i dig Ocarina's story more overall; Ganondorf is a better villain than Skull Kid/Majora, and while rescuing Zelda is nice... Link does save other girls. :p

Okay I dunno how I went on that rant, but damnit I love Ocarina of Time. Dunno why it took me so long to appreciate the game to the degree it deserves, but then again it took me a while to appreciate the series in general. When Ocarina came out, I was but 7 years old... I was raised on Mario and Donkey Kong up until that point! lol

I got Majora's Mask for my 10th birthday, and it was on the N64 cartridge that I was able to beat the game for the first time. It might partially be why I like MM so much, but I also like it for its nonlinear gameplay and how every playthrough has the potential to be different from the last. Then, in 2003, when Wind Waker was supposed to come out, I pre-ordered the game for $5 at Funcoland, and got the bonus disc(Which I sold, but have since replaced twofold), and THAT was when I beat Ocarina for the first time. Then, Wind Waker came out a month later, and having just come off of Ocarina, Wind Waker was AMAZING. It's also the first Zelda to have "new game+", which was how I first got into that figurine sidequest... wasen't until my last playthrough last March(Coincidence I assure you) that I managed to get all the figurines with green tunic Link, it was a nice challenge. Another thing about Wind Waker is that, like Majora's Mask, it gets very nonlinear after the second dungeon, which means I have the entire ocean to explore... and man is it rewarding as hell.

Lol well I went on a bit of a rant there... point is, Ocarina of Time needs the love right now. While I would love to have a stand-alone copy of Majora's Mask on my shelf one day, I'll keep hoping that Nintendo announced a 3DS remake. Until then, I'll enjoy playing MM on my Collector's... err I mean the Virtual Console version because gamecube version has the risk of freezing.

Ahh...The Zelda games. I love them as well. Though I must confess. I have never played much of 1, 2, or the handheld titles, and have not beaten LttP.....N64 and Up are great.....also cant give an opinion of Skyward...not gonna stand there and flail my arms around. I'd love to get a Gold Cart Ocarina. Some day I'll find one cheap.

Zelda 1 was the first game I beat, followed by SMB1 and Kid Icarus.  I've probably played through ALTTP 100+ times. I can damn near do it with my eyes closed At this point.

I love ocarina, am a fan of MM, but Wind Waker and Skyward Sword can be eradicated from existence for all I care. WW is like Zelda jr. IMO. Only a few dungeons and like a zillion stupid, needlessly long fetch quests.  Kills me that they picked it for HD remake.

I actually really liked Wind Waker. Twilight was great too (GAMECUBE NOT WII!) I even like Link's Crossbow training.

I own a lot of Zelda games, I found most of them cheep:
Majoras Mask CE (X2) : $1
OOT Grey: $0.50
OOT Gold (Worn) $10
Twilight Princes GC : $5
Wind Waker: $5
Oracle of Seasons : Free
LTTP: $25
Crossbow: $20

I only beat OOT so far, you can see my opinion in my topic I started while playing it, I like it, but it has flaws, mostly poor/ boring boss battles among other things. I'm close to beating MM, In the desert area, I like that game better, better designed, better bosses. I started LTTP, I'm up to the point wit the quest to get the 3 necklines or whatever,  so far my biggest complaint is the enemy AI sucks, they just run at you no matter what is in the way. Not the biggest fan of combat, but I may need a new strategy. Also catching a bee and sending it out to kill your foes is awesome.
I have not played much of the first 2, in 1 I beat the first temple and loose interest, 2 kinda gets boring after a wile too, I think I got too death mountain, got frustrated, then used cheats, and ruined the game, games are not fun when you can bypass everything. I have not played it in a few years though. Same with the 2 GC games.

Picked up a copy of Madden 94 with a really low serial number.  I know that EA made "first round" editions of it's sports games for a few years, but this is the lowest number I've ever seen.  Most that I've come across are over 10,000, with letters in front as well, leading me to believe that hundreds of thousands were produced.  Although I've seen some discussion about box variants on some Sega forums, I've never known any of the EA variants to command a premium.  It's a nice addition regardless.  Maybe I'll put it on Ebay and see if it attracts any attention.

Also picked these up today for $15:

I've been waiting for so long to finally be able to play Arkanoid with a proper controller.  The controller was $5 and the game $10.
