Everything is relative...people like different stuff. For instance, most fans seem to LOVE Final Fantasy IX. I am a die hard fan of the series and I think IX is one of the worst games ever made. Again, everything is relative.

As long as you don't like XIII we are still on good terms ;)

Final Fantasy IX is my second favorite out of the 8 that I've played. :)

I have played through all the Final Fantasy games, and I will say that VI is my favorite. IX was good fun, and a nice refresher after what a bomb VIII was.
AO007:
For my last January purchases, I ordered Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters, which will be my final Gameboy purchase.
...and Star Fox SNES, which really will be my last SNES purchase.
My last N64 purchase will be Legend of Zelda; Ocarina of Time, original 1.0 version if possible. While I enjoy Majora's Mask and Wind Waker more, and I'd place them higher on my favorites list, I think Ocarina of Time deserves my respect. Now, while I like Majora's Mask more than OoT in terms of atmosphere and gameplay, I think i dig Ocarina's story more overall; Ganondorf is a better villain than Skull Kid/Majora, and while rescuing Zelda is nice... Link does save other girls. :p
Okay I dunno how I went on that rant, but damnit I love Ocarina of Time. Dunno why it took me so long to appreciate the game to the degree it deserves, but then again it took me a while to appreciate the series in general. When Ocarina came out, I was but 7 years old... I was raised on Mario and Donkey Kong up until that point! lol
I got Majora's Mask for my 10th birthday, and it was on the N64 cartridge that I was able to beat the game for the first time. It might partially be why I like MM so much, but I also like it for its nonlinear gameplay and how every playthrough has the potential to be different from the last. Then, in 2003, when Wind Waker was supposed to come out, I pre-ordered the game for $5 at Funcoland, and got the bonus disc(Which I sold, but have since replaced twofold), and THAT was when I beat Ocarina for the first time. Then, Wind Waker came out a month later, and having just come off of Ocarina, Wind Waker was AMAZING. It's also the first Zelda to have "new game+", which was how I first got into that figurine sidequest... wasen't until my last playthrough last March(Coincidence I assure you) that I managed to get all the figurines with green tunic Link, it was a nice challenge. Another thing about Wind Waker is that, like Majora's Mask, it gets very nonlinear after the second dungeon, which means I have the entire ocean to explore... and man is it rewarding as hell.
Lol well I went on a bit of a rant there... point is, Ocarina of Time needs the love right now. While I would love to have a stand-alone copy of Majora's Mask on my shelf one day, I'll keep hoping that Nintendo announced a 3DS remake. Until then, I'll enjoy playing MM on my Collector's... err I mean the Virtual Console version because gamecube version has the risk of freezing.
