Street Fighter abuse is very real. I've seen many a SNES controller with broken shoulder button hinges in k years of used game retail ;)

Which is why I prefer Street Fighter Ii with the Super Advantage, the Saturn Controller, or on the 3DO.

I'm a wierdo and can't play fighting games with a stick (I know, don't kill me).  Man, nothing beats the Saturn pad for rolling out fireballs and spinning piledrivers!

I first played these games in an arcade so I am very comfortable with my arcade sticks. Even the virtua stick is pretty nifty.but on the saturn I do prefer the pad as it just works.

I did too, I just always liked the pads better  ;D

I was a SF2 junkie in middle and high school.  I cut school quite often to play at the local bowling alley and a random corner store by my high school that had Champion Edition and MK1.  The place was the size of a closet but there would be like 15 guys smushed up by the beer cooler playing all day long.  I was pretty decent back in the day, but age and lack of desire to play have significantly impaired my skills.

So, been thinking of building a mame machine, found someone with a gutted donkey kong cabinet who wants 40$. My only hesitation is that it's not the largest cabinet. Suggestions?

Take it!  $40 is a great price for a vintage cabinet (assuming its in pretty good cosmetic condition). In my opinion you don't need a huge MAME cabinet especially when it will mostly be just you playing it.  You'll obviously have no problem fitting everything inside the cabinet.

Jump on it  ;D

well, cosmetically it's solid, but its pretty much the wood only. No rot, damage etc .

Picked up Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch yesterday evening, on my way home from the Day Job.
About an hour into the game, the Air Conditioning stopped working at the Apartment.  :'(

They're suppose to come out and fix it sometime today, but wouldn't give me a specific time frame/window of when to expect them, so I have to use a vacation day, so I can sit here and wait on em.
