and the difference is HUGE!  The early US-only controllers literally hurt to use. Take a peek on google. The D-pad alone was enough to cause sores on your thumbs. They should all be burned.

Pick up a red 3DS with New Super Mario Bros. 2... it was actually a trade for xbox 360 Fat Halo 3 Edition that I pick up about 2 weeks ago on craigslist for $60 with games. I kept some games and the original halo 3 controllers and traded the console and 3 cheap games for the 3DS+games.. ;)

I don't recall the early Saturn controllers being uncomfortable.  I bought a Saturn on launch day in 1995, and I still have the controllers.  I bought a new Saturn last year, but it came with the Nights 3D controllers, so I still use my original controllers for some games.

I was actually playing some Street Fighter II the other day, and the controllers performed just fine.

You, sir, are in the severe minority.

My hands hurt just looking at it (not to mention my eyes)

  • Think off-center.
I actually am the few that still plays saturn like its new lol. The 1st model controller is great for anything! (other than fighters). The 2nd is just basically IMO the best controller ever made.

I still rank the SNES as #1 (the shoulder buttons just work on so many levels), but the JP Saturn controller is a close 2nd along with the 360.

Really, I'd love a mix of the Saturn and SNES controllers.  The shoulder buttons on the SNES have that nice hinge that makes them feel really sturdy, but the shape of the Saturn controller feels so nice and is like the perfect size.

The Saturn has my favorite controller ever made. I even bough the Saturn to Dreamcast adapter so I could play Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Soul Calibur with the Saturn Controller.

I still rank the SNES controller highly like you do Wiggy, but the shoulder buttons on mine have had issues due to too many years of Street Fghter II Turbo abuse.

Picked up a few of SMS games:

RAMBO III
GANGSTER TOWN
GRAND PRIX CIRCUIT
PARLOUR GAMES
WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO

Also grabbed WONDER BOY IN MONSTER WORLD for the Genesis.

All of these were complete in box with their posters still inside!

The HDMI port on my Xbox 360 went to shit so I traded it to good ol GameStop with the av cord only and got the double in store credit deal and with that I picked up a 3DS XL (Red) and Super Street Fighter IV 3D. So far I love them both.

Street Fighter abuse is very real. I've seen many a SNES controller with broken shoulder button hinges in k years of used game retail ;)

Stopped by Target today to get some printer ink (again!) and grabbed Zelda Skyward Sword for only $19.99. It was the last copy in the store or I would've bought two and keep one sealed for my collection.

Please scan that Pirates of Dark Water box! Id love to put together a cover for that. I whipped up a low quality placeholder a while back and Id love to update it! ;D

Nice find BTW.

+1, It's sad that I have not collected some games simply because there was no box art on this site, I am trying to get rid of all my loose carts as is.

I put the scans of Pirates up here:  http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=5975.msg96887#msg96887

Also threw in Liberty or Death (Didnt see it on the site) and I believe BadChad requested a scan of my Ghosts'n Goblins a long time ago so I threw it in there too.

One more thing, here is a list of my collection, if you guys want to dig through and find something you need scanned, just let me know: http://www.rfgeneration.com/cgi-bin/collection.pl?name=Bear78&folder=Collection&action=profile
