I have reached post 100 and to celeprate I thought I would share some of the projects I have been working on.

First up is the comic series I have been working on for around 5 years so far, JDex.

I do not want to give too much away on the series, I rather all the characters and plots reveal themselves as the series goes on but I will give a basic idea. The series takes place in a medieval/1700th centaury bled time period, but it all depends on the area and will change as the characters travel later on in the series. It takes place on its own earth that is larger than ours so there is more lan. It also takes some inspiration from Greek mythology with having multiple gods and other elememts, the main character is a Minotaur. Speaking of the main character, It mostly fallows the main character Dexstratus (Shown above), and his adventures to fight for good along side a group of trained fighters.

I know, that sounds like basic stuff, but I have written some things that put a spin on the cliché, but I do not want to spoil it, but I will say that Dexstratus (Or Dex for short) is not the leader of the group. A lot of what I'm doing with the story is to go against the overdone and cliché, and in some cases parody it. The series is not a parody/ reference fest, but there are some mixed in. I was originally going to have more mixed in but that is becoming really overdone nowadays. I will through in some references such as some character names, and some plots may be parodies of others, I have plans to put the main cast in a Zelda style dungeon. The references will be from many sources, from games, to music, to books, and TV shows. Expect everything from Mario to Colombo, The Beatles to Huck Finn. The series is not going to fallow one villain ether, There will be many threats that arise and fall.

Something I was going to do is to have the story fallow one perspective per episode/ chapter. So whatever the character sees and thinks will be highlighted. It will jump around a little but mostly fallow Dex and later a parallel plot line fallowing another character in a related group, But will occasionally fallow other characters if the plot is more relevant to them. I may even to a episode A and B were it shows the events through two different perspectives. I will hide things in the background that the character does not notice but you will if you are observant.

I'm getting close to a script for episode one that I like, I'm mostly tweaking and refining the events, but there is a later 1/3rd of the episode that I only kind of have a basic idea of what should happen, that's mostly is what's keeping me from starting to produce the pages. In the 5 years of work, episode 1 is not the only thing I got done, I have been working on the entire plot line and a huge cast of main and minor characters. The show is actually almost completely different from the original idea, with only the personality of one character staying mostly the same. The original art style was more Anime-like, but I love going through the old sketches ant seeing the slow evolution to the current design. The biggest reason the series is mainly a comic is due to voice acting, With such a large cast I’m going to need a large amount of good voice actors that I can work with for years to come. There may be some animated episodes, but they might not have voice overs. I have 2 other sub series planned as well:
JDex Origins: a series focusing on explaining back stories of characters.

JDex: Sidestep: Non-Cannon stories and whatnot, a place for ideas that do not fit in with the main plot.

Keep in mind everything is WIP and subject to change.

Up next Beatallica: The Animated Series!

Based on the bash-up band who does The Beatles, Metallica style with songs such as:
Hero Of The Day Tripper
(“Day Tripper and Hero Of The Day”)
Ticket To Ride The Lightning
(“Ticket To Ride” and “Ride The Lightning”)
Leper Madonna
(“Lady Madonna” and “Leper Messiah”)
Blackened The U.S.S.R.
(“Back in the U.S.S.R.” and “Blackened”)
… And Justice For All My Loving
(“All My Loving” and “… And Justice For All”)
I’m working on a parody of the old ‘60s Beatles Saturday morning cartoon using the band. I have a few episodes planned, each one consisting of a song the episode is named after and a small plot based around it, like the original show. I have plans for a Yellow Submarine parody as well but that will not be started until a later date.
I also have a separate cartoon that I was working on for Christmas separate from the above series, a music video for the song Hella Day For Holiday, a Beatallica original, a preview can be seen HERE.

I'm working with the band Beatallica on this so I have permission to use their likenesses and music.

And finally (for now) Motament Reviews.

I know everyone and their pet is doing game reviews online, but I want to do some too. I will mostly be reviewing games and have non-nostalgic views on retro classics, positive reviews of infamous horrible games, and whatever else I want to review.

First game I plan on reviewing is “The Fidgetts” for Game Boy, the first non PC game I ever got with my Game Boy color I got from my cousins when she got a Game Boy Advance SP for Christmas. I will probably move on to some Mario games after that.

I need a good camera before I start, and this will probably come out after JDex and Beatallica have launched. This series s mostly for my to give some of my opinions and have some fun. For some episodes I’m going to take a AVGN approach with some plots and other story’s mixed in along with the review. I’m not going to be an “Angry Reviewer” probably more of a passive one, I find very few games I despise, no matter how bad, But I will do some crap game reviews, those seem like the most fun to make, and those would probably be the ones with a plot.

I’ve got a few more ideas here and there, but here are my big 3.

Bamp!

2 updates:
1) Highly (no pun intended) considering a name change from Motament.
I found out recently that "Mota" is Spanish for Marijuana.  :-[
I found this out after someone on another forum called me Mota, and I thought that was a cool nickname, so I Googled it to make sure it was not taken, and found out what it meant. The original word "Motament" is gibberish and the usage of Mota was completely coincidental.
I have grown attached to Matoament, and already set up a bunch of accounts, but I should really change it. I'm considering only changing 1 letter so it becomes Modament, or something. Thoughts?

2) The JDex comic is entering the ruff draft phase soon. I'm probably going to post up WIP pages if anyone wants to give input on them.

I rather not, Most people at my school think I am a pot head. :-\ I can see why, I have long hair and side burns, I mostly listen to music from the 60's and 70's, among other things, but I'm not.
I'll work something out.

That sucks man.

Still, I say take ownership of it. In the end, your work is what anyone will care about, and the name will just be a way to identify you. It's only a "thing" now because you're so young and haven't really made a name for yourself. You're a smart and creative guy. You're supposed to cause ripples. Splash away! :P

Hey Larry. I agree with wiggy. When I was in school, people gave me shit about stuff like that and considered me a pot head when I really wasn't.
I'm a metalhead, Like the darker side of things, and am a complete geek.

Now with my musical, mechanical, and tech skills, I am more successful than all of them, make more money than them, and have more talent than any of them.

BTW had long hair myself for a very long time ha ha.

Just keep up the great work!
What are you looking at? You think baby's don't like video games? THEN YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT BABIES!!

Honest moment here, I actually DID do a lot of drugs in high school, but I was so under the radar that nobody ever even questioned my behavior.  Then I dropped out of high school and didn't go back to college for 5 years or so.  High school is just a silly babysitting service.  Once it's over, all the morons that give you a hard time now will be gone from your life and you'll never have to worry about them questioning your behaviors again.

You're way ahead of the curve in terms of creativity and skill set for your age.  Fuck what anyone in high school thinks of your pseudonym.  What do they know?  It's your job as an artist to defy the norm.  Don't let us down ;D

As soon as you start letting people's thoughts of you, especially considering they have no factual information to support such, is when you devalue yourself. Personally, not many will put things together to come up with what mota means. Like wiggy said, 99% of your high school classmates will be non-existent in the future so it's honestly pointless to sweat it.

Keep the name, its interesting and has something that gets stuck in your head that makes it unique.

This.

All of the This.

I relised that a year or so ago and is the major thing keeping me going. Just get your stuff done into a good collage and you will be done with this. If I truly cared about what they thought, I would have shaved my head by now.
I have done weird thing around the school, dressed up as a Sgt Pepper era John Lennon on 1 or 2 occasions, forgot for what, Panda on 2 occasions, One in middle school o opposite day, where you were suppose to cross dress, but I panda. I was going to ware my Link costume on Halloween but Sandy knocked out school for a few days and by the time I got back to school it was to far away from Halloween.
Next year though, I'm buying that personal sound track shirt from Think Geek and running around with Zelda music. When the guards try to stop me, because costumes are not allowed, Blast the Gerudo Palace music and sneak past the guards. Then probably get suspended.

I need sleep now, Midterms start tomorrow.

Sounds like you're doing everything just right to me.  I wore a fuzzy purple tail for my entire 11th grade year until I caught it on fire during lunch period.  I was almost expelled for that.  Dropped out 2 weeks later.

Do your thing, man!  And good luck on midterms ;D

So about all of this:
This summer I'm gearing up to get a lot of my ideas out there, So far on the projects I'm focusing on are If anyone cares: P :
JDex -
My main thing I'm working on -
I'm building out the lore, world, and lives of the main case, and got mot of the main cast scripted out, now just to name most of them. :P
The first few chapters are mostly written out to a way that I'm finally happy with them, and ruff drafts were started.

Beatallica Cartoons -
I made a storyboard for a HELP! episode, to help promote the now not so new album, Waiting on my new Laptop to continue work.
Helladay For Holiday is postponed until closer to X-Mas.

Power Plaid Plays -
The most recent started project with my friend Matt, and another friend who had to drop out, It is a gameplay channel, more in the vain of Continue? and Game Grumps. It will have fancy editing, and focus more on being entertaining, and conversations, it's more like a podcast with gameplay than a Lets Play Channel.
We are still struggling a bit with equipment, Some episodes had problems such as:
Forgetting to capture video
Forgetting to save audio commentary
One of the two mics not being on, so I can barely be heard, but Matt could be.
My current PCs creating static during audio commentary.
Video capturing with wrong hue settings.
Video capturing with quality setting to low
Video capturing with stuttering in parts.
Video capturing with 2 FPS

This is so far harder than we thought it would be, but we are getting better as we go along.
Current recorded episodes slated for release:
Shamu's Deap Sea Adventures
Sims Busting Out!
Sonic Adventure DX
Karate Champs
Dynasty Warriors 3
3D World Runner

Motament Reviews (Working Title) -
My own review show that I wanted to do for a long time, It will cover mostly games, but also some Movies, like Sci-Fi Channel movies, or some old 60's and 70's TV shows.
There will be two types of episodes, serious reviews, where the main focus will be critiquing the game or show or whathaveyou. And there will be more comedy reviews, with skits and are more entertainment oriented, slimier to AVGN or Jon Tron, but I'm working on my own way of conducting it, so I'm not another "Angry" reviewer ripoff. Depends on the thing I'm reviewing. I got a lot of ideas that I will save to revel later.  ;)

These are my main 4 projects, I have some other ideas, but this is what I'm focusing on.
