These two systems have caught my eye and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them. If any friends or family gets me some amazon credit for my bday in a couple days which is all i ask for, i wanna get one.

I have a Supaboy, and while it gets the job done, it's not perfect. I got it for Christmas last year and it worked great, except for a loud buzzing sound from the speakers. Then within 1 day of playing I got two lines of dead pixels on the screen, and I hadn't played it more than 2 hours total. I sent it back and they sent me a new one, and customer service was fine. The new one had less buzzing but seemingly a less crisp screen.

It plays most of what I want and I think they've had a few revisions since. However I'm looking at getting the RDP 2.0 Core Edition since reviews of that system are generally better even on the 1.0 model. Still, I'll keep my Supaboy as it looks like a giant SNES controller and still works.

Here's the RDP 2.0 Core Edition. Slightly more expensive, but it sounds like it's worth it if they really did improve those things. http://innexinc.com/product-detail.php?prod_id=RB-RDP-0179&brand=65&page_num=2  http://www.amazon.com/NES-SNES-RetroDuo-Portable-Handheld-Console/dp/B009SE735Y/ref=pd_cp_vg_2

Do not buy the Supaboy, or anything else Hyperkin. Hyperkin make awful products and do not listen to customer feedback about the problems. Buy a RDP. Look up on youtube my four part review of the RetroDuo Portable. Should be the first result.

If I have a Supaboy, I would test out the NTSC games, and PAL games.

Hey Satoshi I ended up getting the RDP V2.0 Core Edition. It's awesome but I came across something weird, don't know if you came across same issue. Two pairs of earbuds caused extreme buzzing and one pair sounded fine. I noticed the connectors we're different. Also The cord it came with to plug into the tv had same connector as earbuds that didnt work. The tv connection was perfect though. I'm kind of confused here. Hope pictures will help. Two white ones didn't work, black one did. I noticed white ones have three lines in em but im a bonehead here.

The white ones look like Apple earbuds. Those are generally meh to bad in my opinion on headsets. Though I am spoiled and have the Bose earbuds so my bar is set a bit higher. But even the cheap Sony earbuds sound leagues better than Apple ones.

One pair is apple other is samsung. The black ones are some horribly crappy jvc ones and they work. I'm just confused for the buzzing the system is causing.

Those pack in samsung headphones are awful (I work for T-Mobile so I deal with them everyday).

If you want quality gaming on the go, invest in a decent pair of stereo headphones. No dolby digital or surround sound or anything, just stereo is all that is needed for retro gaming on the fly.

For something affordable:

Decent quality and i have never had a buzzing issue, and i have slept with those ones in.

The thing is they work absolutely fine with everything I've used them with except the rdp. I have some really good Seinnheisers I let my brother borrow so I have good stuff. I'm jus wondering if this a RDP issue thats all. Thabks for link though.

In that case no idea. I have not heard of any audio issues with the RDP, but I tend to avoid these devices anyhow.
