These two systems have caught my eye and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them. If any friends or family gets me some amazon credit for my bday in a couple days which is all i ask for, i wanna get one. http://www.amazon.com/Hyperkin-SUPABOY-Portable-Console-Super-NES/dp/B005GSRPG8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1356228684&sr=8-1&keywords=supaboy http://www.amazon.com/RetroDuo-Portable-System-RETROBIT-Nintendo-Super/dp/B0071NNPOW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1356228764&sr=8-2&keywords=supaboy found detailed info on this thread http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=11265.0 |

I have a Supaboy, and while it gets the job done, it's not perfect. I got it for Christmas last year and it worked great, except for a loud buzzing sound from the speakers. Then within 1 day of playing I got two lines of dead pixels on the screen, and I hadn't played it more than 2 hours total. I sent it back and they sent me a new one, and customer service was fine. The new one had less buzzing but seemingly a less crisp screen. It plays most of what I want and I think they've had a few revisions since. However I'm looking at getting the RDP 2.0 Core Edition since reviews of that system are generally better even on the 1.0 model. Still, I'll keep my Supaboy as it looks like a giant SNES controller and still works. Here's the RDP 2.0 Core Edition. Slightly more expensive, but it sounds like it's worth it if they really did improve those things. http://innexinc.com/product-detail.php?prod_id=RB-RDP-0179&brand=65&page_num=2 http://www.amazon.com/NES-SNES-RetroDuo-Portable-Handheld-Console/dp/B009SE735Y/ref=pd_cp_vg_2 |

Do not buy the Supaboy, or anything else Hyperkin. Hyperkin make awful products and do not listen to customer feedback about the problems. Buy a RDP. Look up on youtube my four part review of the RetroDuo Portable. Should be the first result. |
