You should know: Finland is GMT/UTC +2 = Same as France.
And yes I too thought the time zone thing after posting and realised that it's probably Mayan time and I don't know what they used as time zone or date for that matter. ;D

Doomsday predictions are like a yearly event in the US. Check out the list on wikipedia. Remember last year, with Harold Camping and his "camping heralds" (that's what I called them lol). And yes, there was at least one in 2000 that I remember, not to mention the Y2K bug, which I swear only made my scientific calculator for school freak out.

Actually it does.
Earth is moving bit slowerer every year, and as speed and time relate to each in opposite realtion time flows faster.
Every year is 0.00 micro second shorter than last.
And also was told today that the end comes at 21.12, which is exact time when I get home from work today... :'(

21:12 but what time zone? it's already 12/13 in some parts of the world (unless they are already gone and didn't care to let us know!)

Do we even know what time zone or date Mayans used or meant?
And it's 22:58 and I'm still alive so it's not Finnish time nor Swedish for that matter.

...although according to wiki its the 21st OR 23rd, so that'll probably be the excuse, "It's not until the 23rd!, (we're all doomed!)"
also on wiki, Isaac Newton predicted the end would be in 2060, plenty of time to prepare for that one!
