I feel ya. We had a shooting here this past year and my younger sister-in-law was actually in the school in which the shooting happened. I wish there were a way to wipe out this specific sort of violence. Hurting and killing children is just the most horrific thing I can imagine. It's like kicking a puppy. The desire to harm someone or something which cannot defend itself is beyond my comprehension :( |

I live 9 miles from the Clackamas Mall where there was a shooting at earlier this week. I even was at that same mall the day before. Then this...I have a four year old daughter, next year she would be the same age as those kids who are now slain by this sick psychopath. It kind of makes me angry he offed himself because I wanted him to be taken into custody so I could just hate him for all eternity. I just don't understand it, and we are at how many shootings this year in the USA? How much more has to happen before we say as a nation that there is a problem? |

God praise the second amendment. :-X For me as an european I will never understand how a modern country can have such completely nuts gun laws. There are simply too many people out there who should never ever get their hands on any kind of firearm! |

If you're nut and want to kill, you'll get the weapons somewhere anyway, let it be sword, club, gun, crossbow or whatever. I think the mental screening should be better, and the step to take helping action should be lower. |
