RealPlumpBox:
I grew up and lived in CT for 27 years.  I just recently moved from there and relocated to Seattle, WA.  So when I hear stories of shooting such as Columbine, or VA Tech I think, Damn that sucks.  But when thiat shit happens 30 min from were you lived your whole life it hits you pretty hard.  Granted I didnt know anybody in that are but being so close to my home were I lived for so long it feels different.  Yes I missed a lot of the news and updates since I am 3 hours behind and was at work all day.  I just got home from work today turned on the news and just cried.  shit I still have watery eyes.  Shit just hit home being so close to the holidays.  The ages of the kids, and living so close for 27 years.

I just want to fly home and hug my mother, father and sister.

I just needed to share this.  Thanks

It hurts when this type of thing happens to adults let alone children. I came home and just wanted to hold my 3 year old daughter.

I still live in CT, I'm about a hour away from where it happened, and I did not realize how close it was until now. I was in school when I found out about it. It's just awful when things like this happen.

This was so horrific and senseless...

My heart definitely goes out to everyone involved. I can't imagine being a parent, dropping off your kid only to find this later. Even for the kids that weren't killed and even ones at other schools, I can't imagine what that does to a kid and how it affects the rest of their life. Kids growing up fearing their safety in kindergarden and grade school is a really sad thought.

I live in CT, and I have a 5 year old son who goes to Kindergarten.  It's tough to comprehend what happened.
