Right now, I have them on a bookshelf. Holes are cut in the back to allow for charging cables to go through:

As you see, I'm running out of room. I suppose a solution for this could be to buy another bookcase to put next to it and stack the portable game bookcase on top (and I'll have room for this when I move in three months), but I'm just curious to see how other people do it.

How do you guys display your portables?

Wow! That is an amazing collection!

Unfortunately the only handheld I have in the house is my daughters pink SP. I don't have time for handheld games really so I don't invest in them anymore sadly. Maybe if a Mirror of Fate bundles comes out for,the 3DS XL I may change my mind.

Crud Picture but this is my handheld display case.  The Case was picked up at a garage sale for a couple bucks.
It's hard to see, but there are a few boxes behind the handhelds.  The 3ds XL is on top in a Hori Case.

FYI the Medals are for Small bore rifle Qualification and High power Rifle Competition.  The flag was from the Funeral procession of a fallen home town EOD Marine and classmate.

I used to have 2 of those display cases.  They were from ikea.  I gave them away some time ago,  regret that now seeing how good the hand helds look in them.

I'm still in the midst of working on my setup, but I would probably either case them as wiggy has done, or get small little easels from a hobby store and display them upright (most likely I'll do a combination of both). There was a member a while back who found some good easels, but I can't find the thread.

Something similar to this http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/5-clear-plastic-easel-914895/ . I think I've seen these things in black somewhere.

Gah, all that empty space would bug the hell out of me ><; (I don't mind putting different systems on the same shelf...)
That seems like a nice idea though, displaying your portables...
I'll probably case mine like Wiggy does once I have more space...
