Streets of Rage 3 Japanese Cover Restoration Process

So, I was going to continue this topic in another thread I started called Streets of Rage 2 blah blah blah... But I decided to start a new thread and explain why I started this process for the third Streets of Rage game. Now, someone on the Cover Project already took on this project. Their work could be found in the main data base. I'm sure they put a lot of work into their art and their efforts are appreciated. I myself downloaded this with the intention of printing it. However, I noticed many noticeable flaws. For the most part, it was obvious the artist used a clone stamp.

I used a scan of the manual and the Japanese cover to restore the image.

The manual only helped with the right side of the image. The logo still cover part of the hand on the left side. I used the visible hand on the right to reconstruct the missing fingers on the left. This is my final and will be used to create new Streets of Rage 3 covers in numerous styles and regions.

Ouch, that is some blatant clone stamping!

You could just change the title of your original thread (a great feature available to us "normies" on this forum) to something like "Segamer's cover restoration thread".

Either way, I STILL wholeheartedly support this endeavor!

I agree. I didn't even notice I could change the subject. Oh well...
