How do I post pictures?

i have tried to post images in the forums before, using the "Insert image" tab above, but they always come up blank.  Specifically, I want to put pics of my mediafire images so people can see them without leaving the website.  Do I need to upload them somewhere else and inset the link?  Or is there something I am missing?

I was having a problem with this as well until I got an account at ImageShack. You just upload your pics to there and then copy and paste the forum code without using Insert Image or Insert Hyperlink from here at all.

Doesn't mediafire give you a link?  I actually don't have a mediafire account but I do think I've seen people post pictures from there.  I'm sure someone will come in that uses it to let you know if and how it can be done.

But as already mentioned, I also use imageshack to post up pictures on the forums.  Although if you're wanting to post up covers Imageshack will resize and compress the image.

For covers it's best to use either mediafire or box.com

Well on Media fire you can do this:
Choose share -> more options -> 17" monitor and then copy the forum code and post it as is.
This results is clickable preview image that leads to the file.

Absolutely this.

Imageshack and photobucket screw the images.
