Question to my fellow gamers.

We're actually getting close to making a decision. But still open for more. We're just playing around with costume ideas for the couple runner ups.

If it's still open I have a couple ideas for game stories. Dunno how many of these have already been mentioned.

Chrono Trigger
Fable
Dino Crisis (Resident Evil's short-lived twin)

I don't know how many projects have been done with this but what about the pre-3D FF games? I'm sure Final Fantasy IV could work if done right.

If i had a CG budget Dino Crisis would def be done. Thats one I'd like to see come to a screen in live action.

Earthbound the movie...but don't rehash the story, make your own story with Earthbound elements.

If you want a really low costume budget go for Joe and Mac. Caveman garb ftw.

What about Galaga or Pitfall? I mean if they can make stories up for Battleship I'm sure you could do those.

Another idea that pops in mind is Too Human. Great story, but very very underrated. Don't bother looking for the game though, I heard Silicon Knights was ordered to recall and destroy all unsold copies of it.

Kid Chameleon would be awesome and low budget with the costuming.

River City Ransom would be fantastic, but I just love that game in general.


Though I think Final Fight would be awesome. Just the whole story of Haggar the Mayor kicking the crap out of street thugs screams cult classic.

1.- Ninja Gaiden (there's alredy an independent movie which is more or less ok, but works more like a musical than like a movie)

2.- Zombies ate my neightbors. (zombies are a hot thing nowadays. zombies + comedy + nerd gamer content = sure win).

3.- Mario Bros (ITS POSSIBLE!!!!)

4.- EARTHBOUND (probably easy cast, enough story but not too long, perfect for a movie from 60 to 90 minutes. if the casting apearance is good and the story congruent with the game it will be great. Also, the comedy has to be there. its relatively hard, but not many special effects would be necessary and the setting its modern america, meaning you can even do some of the footage on your backyard).

5.- Metroid (too hard, but if done right it will rock)

6.- punch out

Seems like River City Ransom is on a lot of people's minds. I was looking into Punch Out!. Even found a nice raggedy gym to film from too on my research. Street Fighter 2029 was also brought to my attention (could be bad ass). Final fight would be awesome with minimal editing to the story. SHADOWRUN was brought to my attention as well (I really enjoy the thought of making this one as a mini series).

So these are looking like very doable candidates. What are your opinions on these choices?

Yea gotta make Mac so orphan or something to rise to the top. (Feel good story).
River city actually had a story. Girlfriends got kidnapped, so they go to every school whoppin the local gangs ass lol.
