Unfortunately Dragon Warrior already had 2 TV series and 4 theatrical movies. Though only in Japan.
Cave Story could do for a good movie. Or how about R-Type? There's also Splatterhouse, Metal Slug, Lost Vikings, La Mulana, Half-Life, Space Quest, Kings Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, and I could just go on all day long.

Some excellent suggestions there amathar. If I had a CG team I would definitely add drama to R-Type.
