Try descreen (moire removal) and color restoration (if that does same thing as my scanners auto toning the results will be good).
And more flatter please, see how the spine/front and spine/back folds are showing. Put heavy book on the cover when scanning.

OK, I have been trying different settings, and these scans seem like the highest my scanner will produce. Please let me know if they are workable. if they are, I will upload more. If not, it's back to the drawing board and screwing with the settings.
