A few randoms that I was able to win reasonably priced auctions on and take advantage of some combined shipping.

When picking these up I also received a photo radar ticket from Quebec.

I took a trip to Montreal not too long ago and they photo radared me going 110 in an 80 km construction zone on the highway.  It was Sunday night and there were no cars around whatsoever.  I was wondering why there were no cops ... I guess they just get ya Big Brother style.  Now I'm down $280.

I'm actually cool with it except for the fact that everything is in FRENCH ONLY despite the fact that Canada is a bilingual county.

I'm in the "Quebec should just separate" camp, however I'd like to somehow get Montreal in the deal.  Love that city.

Well mate, I hate to say it but I think you got fleeced on that one.  No way are those games worth $280. ;D

On the bright side, you can expect to have a cover for that Bad Street Brawler sometime in the not-so-distant future... ;)

Oh No, I got a speeding ticket sent to the post office at the same time.  Edit - can't tell if you were being serious or joking  :P

It was $280 and was waiting for me at the post office along with the package of games.

The most expensive game was The Last Ninja at about 11 bucks.  Was glad to grab Kings Quest V for $9.  It's usually around $20 when I come across it.

The ticket and the games are unrelated events.  I just ended up receiving them both at the same time.  ;D

Looking forward to any covers you make in the near future!

Yeah, I was just being a smartass.  I thought you meant that on your way to pick up your games you got hit with a $280 speeding ticket which meant it cost that much (plus purchase price) for the games, in which case it would obviously have been a ripoff.  I guess I misread, so the 'joke' kinda fell flat on its face. ;D

Anyway, great that you got KQV for such a good price.  Even though it's not the best port (it's even a bit worse graphically than the EGA version on PC) it's still fun to own a Sierra game that I played so much as a kid on the NES.  As a kid I loved KQ and part of me wanted it on NES as well, but thankfully there were always other titles I wanted more for birthdays/Christmas that I didn't burn one getting it.  Still, it's always been kind of a sleeper/midrange title price-wise because I guess it was on the rarer side, so congrats on picking it up for a good deal!

Haha thanks.

The trip to Montreal was actually to go some Flea Markets to look for games and anything else of interest really.

I didn't find much so at the last one I picked up Zanac for $5.  So I guess you could say I spent $285 on Zanac .. LOL.

I'd prefer not to think of it that way though  ;D
