back to searching for covers ...

I'ma hijack for just a quick second.  Good luck finding new covers, because TCP has turned into a social website than a cover making website as of late =P.  Everyone seems to rather talk about what they own instead of scanning the items for raws, and / or the covers created are not good enough quality.

I'm just waiting to buy a multifunction printer to start scaning some of my PS1, Wii, PS2 games that are the ones that i have in original box.

@Arseen: PM you

back to searching for covers ...

I'ma hijack for just a quick second.  Good luck finding new covers, because TCP has turned into a social website than a cover making website as of late =P.  Everyone seems to rather talk about what they own instead of scanning the items for raws, and / or the covers created are not good enough quality.  If you were to honestly remove this thread and (potentially) ban Wiggy, you just lost one of the best cover makers out there.  He goes out of his way to go above and beyond.

I understand that you might not think that $120-$160 is not a good idea for a 1337 GBA, but go troll on another website.  I for one appreciate everything that Wiggy " The Hut™ " has done, and will continue to support what he does!

That guy was probably a bitter ex-member on a new account. I've been here less than a year, but I've seen a few wiggy haters before.

My only purpose at TCP is to mooch covers and show off pickups (and drool over other people's shit), but if you see anything I've got that you want me to scan just holler ;)

I'm sure there are plenty, hence my avatar ;)

In fact, I got me best email ever via the website. It read:

Quote
Screw you, wiggy!

It was from "screwyou@screwwiggy.com".  Unfortunately the website doesn't actually exist :(  We printed it out and put it on our cork board. It's where we put all the shit from customers which makes us laugh.  Also people that are banned from dealing whith us, for any number of reasons :P

I do not see what this thread has to do with thecoverproject. self-promotion or spam.
Don't know the so-called wiggy but i find this wiggy to be the opposite of what Nintendo needs. lol.
I run a forum for programming and i would've banned this guy for such a post.
odd place here and at rose-colored gaming too. lol
you're weird, wiggy. just sayin'

back to searching for covers ...

Late in commenting on this I know but had to say something,
1) " i find this wiggy to be the opposite of what Nintendo needs" Yes why would nintendo want to have someone who has genuine love for its characters, amazing artistic/aesthetic design on an innate level, creates quality products for his fellow gamers, and gives part of his profit to charity.  Sounds like the antithesis of what nintendo needs to me
2) "dont know this so-called wiggy" but I am still going to make a complete assumption based on absolutely no prior knowledge of this person or his contributions and only my personal opinions because "I run a forum" and how we do things there is the way it should be done everywhere
3) "I do not see what this thread has to do with thecoverproject" This whole project was started on the basis of preserving the integrity of what retro gaming represents to so many of us. It is a place where enthusiasts can get together to share what we can and to help each other where we can. Arseen created a thread the other day in regards to whether he should go for the model 1 or 2 famicom and wanted a couple opinions (I suggested old because of the 2p microphone) but should I have instead said WTF does this have to do with covers or casing?! NO
4) "Back to searching for covers..." and how many have you contributed?   Thanks for your 2cents it is much appreciated.

Im not big into lashing out over forums and comments I find it to be a sad assessment of character but damn bro you must have hit a nerve in me or something.   My rant is over sorry

^^^ Damn!

Wiggy, go work for Nintendo already. They could use your expertise.

If they would have me, I'd have a hard time saying no :D

On a side note, here's a little collage of the process we went through making the debossed Luigi icon on the back of the 2DS

I can't recall if I posted it or not, but here's a link to the 2DS on Game Gavel.

We just knocked out this set of Zelda GBAs that have been sitting around since like August.  They'll be up for sale on the site soon :)

Ya see, this is why I should have stuck around on this site more. I'd have nabbed one of your NGCPs, GBAs, and/or GBCs a LONG time ago. Seriously man, you've got some talent. And to think I found out about RCG on Reddit.

On the other hand, now that I have a decent designing machine again, I might stay around now. My stuff was never to level of yours, but hey, why not.

Definitely. I've been going back pages and I have to say, your cover designs are friggin' amazing as well. I'm not trying to brownnose, I'm just putting credit where it's due.

So Wiggy, (by the way, love the name. Reminds me of Johnny Bravo) I had really wanted to get a Dingy DMG on your store as well as an AESthetique or eMvious NGPC, but I'm halfway decent with modding tools and spray cans, so instead of fighting other customers to the deat-- er... checkout, I figure I'd give it a hand maself. So I must ask a few questions (I've been going over your how-to guides and back several pages here, so please don't flame):

  • My GBA that I have is one of the old Platinum ones, scratched to all hell. Some are pretty deep (I was a kid :/). Would I need a filler? If so, would I use good ol' Bondo a-la BenHeck?
  • I've seen some screen mods for the NGP, and they look... grueling. Do you have a link to a how-to for that, hopefully one that doesn't involve slaughtering a GBAsp? I like the color of mine, so I'm fine with just a screen.
  • Holy crap, Nomads!
  • Okay, that wasn't a question, but holy crap, Nomads. Wow.
  • When you paint a Nintendo product, it really doesn't seem to have any issues with inlay text, as Nintendo prefers indentions and such. Do you silkscreen the NGP text, use a marker, or what?

Anyways, I assume you're busy and I'll let you get back to it. Thanks, and I look forward to more of your work!
