Why did you use 3rd party shells? They look cheapo.

For a premium product this kind of doesn't fit.
2 + 3 = 23

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa......woah...

You can make custom painted clear GBA shells?!?

This changes everything...

Can you do clear blue, like what these Midnight Blue Game Boys look like in the picture? (its actually more purple in real life, but I'd rather have blue like how they look in these pictures)

The shells that those two came in originally were BEAT, and I mean like too beat to salvage with paint unless I were to do some body work on them.  The time I would have spent repairing and painting them simply wouldn't have been worth it.  I would need to jack the price way up just to make up for the time spent repairing them, and who wants to pay for that?

If I could find quality replacement shells, then you better believe that I'd spend the $$$ to get' em.  That said, I've had these two here for a while and having spent some time with them, they really aren't that bad at all.  The fitment is spot on and the only real issues are the pigment deficiency (the orange one is somewhat translucent when compared to an OEM shell) and the quality of the clear plastic lens (they scuff really easily).

But, I just received a PM from a fellow member with a link to GLASS replacement lenses  :o  that should make that a concern of the past. They're pricey, but not prohibitively so.  If I grab 10 or so at a time, it'll be well worth it and shouldn't affect my cost and thus the price for you ladies and gents ;D

In the future I may just stick with OEM shells.  I just happen to have these as extras and the shells were purchased a while back for my own purposes.  These were actually in my collection, unmodified save for the shell for quote a few months.

Of course (not that I'm trying to toot my own horn).  Painting is something that I've been doing for years years.  Plastics, composites, metal, wood, whatever.  That's no problem at all.  It's just a matter of finding the matching color.  I'll try and find something in a rattle can.  Doing projects that small with auto paint blows.  The prep, setup, cleanup, and all that just blows for something like a Gameboy shell, not to mention the cost of a pint (if I can even get a candy blue in a pint) would be mondo prohibitive.  I'll take a look right now.  I bet Testor's or VHT make something that'll do the job ;)

Picked up paint today.  It's sort of lighter than I think it needs to be, but maybe with a few extra coats.  I've got a beat to hell glacier shell, so I'll test it out as soon as I can.

Vertically, the plasma is about 442.6 inches. Assuming the plasma is 1080p, each pixel is about .4 inches tall.

No, but SOON hopefully.  It's not something that I have a lot of expertise with.  But, if someone is willing to trade out some goodies that does have some knowledge, then you'd make me a very happy wiggy.

In the meantime I can take orders the way that I have been, which is via paypal invoice.
