I'm trying that one right now actually

I had to resort to dying the bumpers/R/L buttons since they're too much trouble to cast. As such, I'm somewhat at the mercy of the color of the original parts, which is gray as you know. Certain colors take to the process better than others (black dye is only absorbed by SOME R&L buttons, but not at all by any of the other plastic parts. Buuuuut, if I "make" black by mixing a few darker colors that do work, then I can get a decent shade of black). This is why I hate dying versus casting parts, not to mention that my color palette is very limited with dyes

The orange took to it well (though not as "neon" as I'd like it to be), but I'm having a harder time getting a vibrant teal color. Might try a chemical bleaching first.
I also totally melted a GBA shell trying to make an "ice blue" shade like the N64 came in for a fellow TCPer. I'll post a pic later. It made me chuckle when I pulled it from the dye bath. Sorta left it in 175* water for a few seconds to long. It's a molten mess. Maybe I can pass it off as "art"?
